I think whether a player will play or not in WC is individual decision or national team. Not sure, which reason make Alamsyah Yunus decide not to play WC. Just guessing may be he just want to grab points from secure tournament, if he really want to play in OG (should pass at least Simon's ranking, which seems quite difficult) I realized most wild cards are given to ENG players. Anyone know which criteria for will card ticket? As I predicted, CHN wil still play pair SC/ZYL and PP/ZYL. CHN need to make sure not only to be champions, but also not give "free" much point for TPE, JPN, and KOR WD pair. Seems HJE/SHK pair are already fixed not continued and then who will be 2nd KOR pair as also KMJ/YYS will also not play? The motivation to play HHB/MJ is also the same with motivation play 2 old WD for CHN
Because Ko/Ha seems not continue as pair. So just give each of HJE and SHK more space to play WD and MD. High probably, HJE/LYD will be projected as 1st XD KOR for OG 2012. But, I am still asking who will be 2nd projection.
Who is SHK? Korea may have one pair for the WC: Kim Ki Jung / Jung Kyung Eun, currently listed as KOR3. They are the only pair that haven't been split. Ko/Ha have been split and in Thailand and Singapore, Kim Min Jung is playing with Shin Baek Cheol, Yoo with Jang Ye Na. What I don't understand is why Kim/Jung got KOR3 for XD but Eom/Kim didn't for WD. I know they've been split but the BWF shouldn't know until Korea gives them a 'no', which is usually after they are given the chance. Still confusing.
I mean Sung Hyun Ko. Did I mention incorrectly? So, who will be 2nd KOR projection for OG after LYD/HJE? Kim Min Jung / Shin Baek Cheol or YYS / Jang Ye Na? or Kim Ki Jung / Jung Kyung Eun? Do you know why Kim Min Jung / Shin Baek Cheol splitted? Yeah, I agree. A kind of confusing qualification namelist. I agree that it seems strange that Eom/Kim didn't get for KOR3 WD, but SIN3 WD who has lower rank qualify I also wondered why Rijal / Susanto do not qualify as INA3 for XD while they are still in top 24 But, Hayom gets replacement of Alamsyah Yunus (MS) as INA3
His family name is Ko, so it's Ko Sung Hyun, or KSH in your system. This is what we'll find out. All will depend on the results between now and next May. This is likely a combination of the fact that Shin is seen as having potential in mixed and keeps getting bounced around from one MD partner to the next. Yoo and Kim have had a few good results and have troubled some top teams but not consistently. It's possibly more about giving Shin a chance with a top partner as Ko/Yoo continue to look strong in MD and Shin is underutilized. Less is strange about Yunus considering that it says explicitly in that case that Indonesia said 'NO'. There is no 'NO' in the case of Eom/Kim. Now why INdonesia said 'NO' is puzzling but why Eom/Kim were passed over if Korea hasn't said no (or why the BWF didn't enter 'NO' there if Korea in fact has said 'NO' for this pair), is more confusing.
For Alamsyah, I think Alamsyah himself might not want to go to WC as he has to pay for himself and WC does not give prize money, only medals.
Look's like my prediction is correct. Alamsyah and AG/Vita are not going to Wembley. For Alam, the reason is very simple. He's an independent player and therefore requires funding to go. He may as well go to other tourneys that he can win and get even more ranking pts.
