Wang Shixian better improve or she may face the axe if JYJ or LXR are ranked 4th

The problem is she doesn't change her game that would threaten Tine plus she keeps serving high to her everytime, causing her to give away so many crucial points.

I believe in time she would realise in order to beat her is just to stop giving her the opportunity to attack and then keep attacking her hips. Tine has a very weak defensive stance...that's why Wang Xin had so much fun playing against her....10-0 head-to-head..

Wang Yihan on the other hand tends to lose focus and get too complacent with herself that's why she gets panick when Tine started building her momentum

WSX does have what it takes to be a winner, she is mentally stronger than the other two but she doesn't know how to smash which it's a pity...Not all players especially Tine can be tricked by deceptive shots because she has good court coverage with her physique.

WSX plays slowly and defensivley. WYH plays fast, but also defensively hence her better record. WX plays fast and attacking.....Bingo! :)

    Wang Yihan

It is pretty hard to maintain at top level all the time. Not even Lin Dan can do it. Lee Chong Wei probably is the only one who can do it. I think she will peak at the right time. To get points for olympics is not her priority now. I think her priority is to explore the strength and weakness of her opponents so that she won't be surprised by them in Olympics. She got the best chance to beat Tine, the no.1 opponent of the chinese team so I think she will be in Olympics team and will be specially "protected" as long as Tine is still in the games.

yes, i thought the 9-0 record (according to BWF's website) was wrong too. Which match did BWF miss?

I wish BWF can change the rules so that all four of them can go.

In this case, I would not oppose it because they all really deserve it. BTW, I think it is the IOC that determines the number of available spots, no?

if BWF does change the rule so that all four can go, there will be five for LYB to consider! :)

I would put WSX somewhere is the middle because she does attack sometimes but not always.

Wang Xin's aggression rating was spot on. But she can lose easily to stroke players if her attacks cant her points...Sigh..WX should apply some clever tactics like WSX if her game does go in her favour. Well i suppose humans are not perfect after all except for LD and LCW

But to enter the SF, they have to take care of other foreign players in group matches, what if they meet their worst opponents there?

yes, Bae YJ is prettier. But realistically, Sung has a better chance of winning.

Bae couldn't overcome her injury in her left leg (or calf).

Well at least with the group system they can't be "one and done" if they have a bad day. This is fairer to seeded players who have earned the right to have a higher survival rate.

What will be interesting is how they take the h2h performance into account - do they weight performances in later stages more than early exits? and presumably they would weight performancesin higher grade tournaments more.

Looks like one of the Wangs will not be going then....
