    CHN v GER line-up => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...DB73EE0-97F1-4387-A72F-52B49FBE4586&match=446

    XD, Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei v Michael Fuchs/Birgit Michels
    MS, Lin Dan v Marc Zwiebler
    MD, Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan v Michael Fuchs/Peter Kaesbauer
    WS, Li Xuerui v Karin Schnaase
    WD, Yu Yang/Tang Yuanting v Isabel Herttrich/Birgit Michels

    As predicted, CHN fields their A-listers, Zhang Nan will show up, playing two disciplines. It's 3-0 for CHN victory unless German MD could create an upset.

    KOR v MAS line-up => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...DB73EE0-97F1-4387-A72F-52B49FBE4586&match=448

    MD, Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong v Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong
    WS, Sung Ji Hyun v Tee Jing Yi
    MS, Son Wan Ho v Lee Chong Wei
    WD, Chang Ye Na/Jung Kyung Eun v Vivian Hoo Kah Mun/Woon Khe Wei
    XD, Kim Gi Jung/Shin Seung Chan v Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying

    Once again world #1 Lee/Yoo is expected to bring KOR team leading, if they lost, MAS team has chance to advance into last four. It will be 3-2 for MAS winning or 3-1 for KOR victory. Both Lee Chong Wei and Sung Ji Hyun are sure point for MAS and KOR respectively. It's mental game when two teams have significant depth in their respective discipline. KOR drops their #1 XD, Ko SH/Kim HN, replaced by Kim GJ/Shin SC.

    Yup, MAS failed to reach last eight, lost to TPE and underdog GER at that time but in contrary they did excellent job here.

    MD is the key again.

    MS -> MAS
    WS -> KOR
    WD 60/40 -> KOR
    XD 80/20 -> MAS

    I see KSH/KHN got the boot. They haven't really looked convincing and KOR doesn't have anything to lose trying another pair

    I think MAS WD Vivian/Woon might come good having had the opportunity play CYN/JKE earlier. I think this could be the key match.

    Mas ld need to calm down and play one point at a time. Wkw was like a crazy woman simply doing all the rushing mistakes and poor viv smashing like a mad dog till puncture.

    Wkw must learn fr gyl to control the front. Viv must drop a bit to save energy and make only high percentage kills. Not impossible. ;)

    No place for Korean MD World Champs yet in this lineup ...... such a massive strength in depth.

    Haha, only one... JKE but KOR WD is so mediocre that I think they might succumb today.

    Hope things are well with you, kwun

    As expected, KOR is inclined to go with their #1 MD pair. I was expected slim chances of maybe KSH/SBC to play, maybe?

    WS should be slightly one-sided depending how well TJY is playing.

    Finally, SWH against LCW! Their last encounter in last year's AE was such a thriller! I don't think SWH has played his best the last few months but let's hope it's not a disappointing match.

    No comment on WD, I'll just watch quietly ;) .

    I think MAS will still have advantage in XD.

    Man, it's painful watching Joy Lai. It's like the 16 years old Vietnamese girl is walking on feathers while Lai has strapped on concrete boots

    CHN do not need Zhang Nan in XD yet here, the only explanation is to have a better warming-up for him today....an overstretched warming-up indeed
    Lin Dan again...must be an alternate assignment with Chen Long.
    Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan...well, i guess an experiment to test Zhang Nan's fitness in duo role
    Li Xuerui again...must be an alternate assignment with Wang Yihan
    Yu Yang/Tang Yuanting, i actually expect other combo

    MAS team as I predicted, fielding Tee Jing Yi :D
    Good luck Malaysia! Wish you may go further...

    Aussie must open its door more widely and gives more incentive to recruit more talented players like Spore :D a fast track to improve

    I think if they want to improve, there is no issue to do it in-house. Aussies are World Class in sporting events. Just that badminton is far down the food chain from their perspective .......
