Finally, Muhd Ulinnuha/Ricky Karanda Suwardi win their first IC title after a straight-set victory over their higher-ranked compatriot. 5 INA MD pairs will continue their journey to Osaka. It will be relatively tougher, with the presence of Japanese pairs (in particular the top-seed Kenta Kazuno/Yoshiteru Hirobe) and young Korean pairs. I expect at least 2 pairs (Ulin/Ricky and Markus/Agri) to make it to the QF.

Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth wins 2 titles today. She and Hafiz Faisal were engaged in a tough 3-sets match against the top-seed in XD from Singapore but her WD match partnering Rizky Amelia Pradipta was quite straight-forward...over in only 22 mins. Now, left Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo. Can he deliver the most important title in MS?
So INA sweeps all 3 titles in doubles discipline, SIN & THA share 1 title each through MS and WS respectively.
At last Derek redeemed himself by winning this low level tournament. His performance at other competitions so far has been rather erratic and has been a cause of concern. Even then it will be very difficult for him to gain a place in the London Olympics with such a late return to form. He probably has to win a few more higher level tournaments to stand a chance and that is asking too much, I'm afraid. On the other hand, Wisnu should have a brighter future provided he continues to train hard and be exposed to international competitions.
