Auraspeed 90k2 is not faster nor as fast as jetspeed 10, assuming we’re talking about same weight classes, cause JS10 is compact head and less head heavy…
How does the 90Kii compare to the TK FE in terms of power, control and handling? With a baseline preference. I currently have the TK FE 4u, I really like this racket. But I got the 90k OG in 3u. I liked it, just too stiff for me so the smashes lacked power (they had speed but weren't heavy), otherwise in terms of control and speed it was good. Thanks
Not en easy question for me to answer because I didn’t particularly click with TKFE, it felt like an on / off racquet in my hands, sometime very good power, sometime it was meh, with two times the same stroke played… What I can tell you is that the power I get from 90k2 is more linear and predictable, and I’m not feeling insecure while playing (which was the case with TKFE…)
dude, it's exactly what im feeling with TKFE 4u... i thought it was just me, so i sold it for 100x 3u i got more consistent shot and smashes (better overall shot quality) , and tkfe made me insecure LOL, the control, the accuracy, everything......
Hey… tried the 90k ii. Usually I play the AS88S Pro 4U. From my point of view the AS88SP feels a bid more head heavy. But not much. In terms of speed the 90k ii is a way faster but again not much. In terms of power I feel more punch with the Astrox. But maybe because I am used to produce power from the racket. I like the Astrox more over the 90k ii.
U must adjust the swing speed/technique if u use this speed racket... For me AS88p sucks, not hit harder, not even faster, shorter shaft , i can generate more power and faster swing speed with my old bs12L in 4u than this astrox88s...
I assume the TKFE has greater potential to unveil, but to me it’s not worth the investment, it would take me way too much time and club league has started so…
Played my first league match today with 90k2, against two slightly better players than me - on paper at least - and even if we lost, I’ve got nothing to reproach the racquet for. Power was here, manoeuvrability too, didn’t felt caught out of time on anything, it’s a good allround package with emphasis on power play Sunday will be my first tournament with it and I’m sure it will work well
The racquet performed well in the tournament, but it seems that it’s not reassuring me when I do serve under pressure. The feel is « blurry », I do not feel the same at all with the 100X which feels way more precise and sharp. For the last match, I went back to the auraspeed 100X and felt instantly more comfortable serving / receiving, and it was against the guys that won the tournament in the end. To conclude: 90k2: made to play an agressive allround game, emphasis on smash 100X: made to play a counter attacking game, emphasis on defence / drives
That's a great perspective that's very useful for me. I've taken up the 100x as my main racket for the past 4 months now but now looking for something a little more aggressive. Did it take long for you to readjust to 90k 2s coming from 100x or are they interchangable
They’re quite interchangeable, after one or two hours you’ve got no problem adapting to one or another. I seem to prefer the auraspeed 100X for the way I play, it’s reassuring, but you’re loosing on power from the back…
Would the 90k2 being slightly head heavier than the 100x make it significantly slower like for front court plays.
So coming from my main racket of JS10 right now (but I want slightly more smash power) should I get 100X or 90K2 ?
