sorry all BCers...this thread is very early created...:p:p:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I record head to head of INA vs CHN in final match is 2-2 home-away:

    Jakarta, 1986 - CHN winner-away
    Jakarta, 1994 - INA winner-home
    Hongkong, 1996 - INA winner-away
    Hongkong, 1998 - CHN winner-home

In 1994-1998, INA team with Susy as WS1. In UC2008 edition, Susy with INA team meet CHN again in Final...Yep, we know the great wall of CHN is too strong for Susy`angels but we dont know if Senayan miracle will happen tomorrow...at least INA team will give the great wall HARD FIGHTING...:cool::rolleyes::rolleyes:

It`s nice to see Final match of INA vs CHN always back-to-back home ground...NOW 2008 their final encaunter back again to INA home ground, so guys and gals...what do you think?????????

i can say 50-50, CHN is no longer unbeatable
if you have watched the QF matches between CHN and NED, and if Judith won the 2nd point, then you will agree with me

Lets be a bit more objective here, there's not a single match that INA has an advantage over the Chinese ladies.
INA best bet would be a point each from Firda, Pia and Vita/Butet. Probability for all 3 to happen? Probably no more than 10-15%.

any guesses for possible lineup? that would be easier to predict who wins...

    i think:

    Maria Kristin vs. Xie Xingfang
Jo Novita / Greysia Polii vs. Yang Wei / Zhang Jiewen
    Adriyanti Firdasari vs. Lu Lan
Lilyana Natsir / Vita Marissa vs. Wei Yili / Zhang Yawen (maybe substitute Gao Ling?)
    Pia Zebadiah vs. Zhu Lin

i am afraid no matter how i look at it, i don't see INA taking more than 2 points from China.

    agree.

to take one point, the probability is ok, maybe 50%, but to take more than one, the probably goes down dramatically.

    Based on ranking, Jo/Greysia can't be playing WD1 while Vita/Butet playing WD2.

oh. you are right. they reverse the ordering in the INA vs. GER lineup. thanks for the correction.

so here is the revised possible lineup:

    Maria Kristin vs. Xie Xingfang
Lilyana Natsir / Vita Marissavs. Yang Wei / Zhang Jiewen
    Adriyanti Firdasari vs. Lu Lan
Jo Novita / Greysia Polii vs. Wei Yili / Zhang Yawen (maybe substitute Gao Ling?)
    Pia Zebadiah vs. Zhu Lin

    Borrowing kwun's lineup:

    Maria Kristin vs. Xie Xingfang : 25 - 75
Lilyana Natsir / Vita Marissavs. Yang Wei / Zhang Jiewen : 40 -60
Adriyanti Firdasari vs. Lu Lan : 40-60
Jo Novita / Greysia Polii vs. Wei Yili / Zhang Yawen : 30-70
Pia Zebadiah vs. Zhu Lin : 35 -65

INA's the underdog across the board.... but we can hope can't we??

These are my estimated probability of the different possible outcomes:

    CHN - INA
    3 - 0 50%
    3 - 1 25%
    3 - 2 15%
    2 - 3 7%
    1 - 3 2%
    0 - 3 1%

yep, so INA's chance of winning is not more than 1 in 10, in my opinion. but miracles do happen...
