No facts, no strategies, no analysis, no backstories, just cheerleading and shouting out points. Yes we have eyes we can see the scores, yes we can see it was a cross court smash, and he keeps calling the net kill a "smash".

God please tc of GC's mum we miss her a lot.

Was never a fan of KV's style of play and at one time it looked like all the Junior circuit laurels were great but we won't see the same spark at the Sr stage.

I was wrong, he stands tall and among the big 3 of their gen (back from junior days) LS, KV, LSF he seems to be the most consistent.
I personally loved LS's comeback he has shown great character this tournament amidst so much criticism from his fans here in India. I was also very certain that he's the favourite for this tournament, KV proves me wrong again. Kudos to him.
Really want to see these 3 to have the next big rivalry with Kodai in the mix here and there (I expect his metoric rise to slow down in recent future, once his opponent get used to his style and stop getting iritated of his retrieving much like Nozomi)

Bu My feeling is INA has 6 MD and Herry IP has told them to fight for their spots.

its a little different like CHN has 4 MD but we already know which pair they are focused on. (Watching the body language of HeZhou, RenTan) - which is a pity in some ways. I think HeZhou should be at their peak.

I dont know which is more effective, but the coach is definitely the winner if the squad makes more money. I think CHN MD should win the Olympic though with a more focused system.

Yes, there's a post saying this arena has the worst drift of all in the world tour. This doesn't suit KV at all. The shuttle was also quite fast especially compared to Malaysia. This is unfavorable for playing long rallies. KV was forced to attack more than usual. Despite this, I think KV came with a clear strategy. At least for the past two days he started on the "bad" side and played to game 3, finishing on the "good" side. The "good" side, against the drift, allowed him to be more flexible in his shots especially the attacking clears, winning him game 2 and 3. Today he was apparently saving energy in game 1 before going all out on game 3. LS seemed out of energy, wanting to finish with two straight games.

I would still say KV benefited a lot from the crowd. He was sooo close to losing to Chico and the other matches were relatively tight. He thanked the crowd today in an interview, saying it really contributed to his win. Lets see how he performs tomorrow. The arena suits Lee much more with his fast and agressive style,

Coming to the semis, KV's matches were all 3 games. LS's matches were all straight games. Good win for KV.

They uses different shutlles in different countries for World Tour tournaments? Or just different speeds?

Btw, what is the brand, type n speed being used in Thailand now?

Both different brands and speed. They use different shuttles depending on the sponsor of the tournament (Yonex, Victor, Li-Ning). So currently it's Yonex. Unfortunately, I don't think we can get official information about the speed for each tournament. Btw, sometimes they even change the speed mid-tournament like the "drama" that happened earlier this year in Spain.

You can say it's part of the competition. The best players are the people who can adjust themselves to various situations. But it can also be argued that overall the shuttles are too slow, as Antonsen has mentioned many times.

Here's Steen's post about the windy condition in the arena:

The current shuttles are noticeably slower than the shuttles i used in the 90's. Probably to quality deterioration of goose feather used in production. The current shuttles r much heavier, or is it because i'm getting too old? I'm 60yrs old now... =( =(

This chinese pair are so steady defensively, that's why you need to mix up the pace a little bit, probably why they struggle against fajar/rian. you need to put constant pressure from the back first though.

Wang is just playing like Kevin while no one looks more like Gideon like Liang , the way he forehand defence. Something about people with big arms and their stance.

Give them a good defensive pair, they will find it hard.
