haha we know people only say and never actually do it. The chance is slim but not totally zero like 0.00000
I still think Japan will win. If you think that Ind WD has a chance and I think Jpn MX has an equal chance too. Heehee.. Going to be exciting tomorrow. Match of the day.
Depends on order of play, if XD first it is 50-50 chance for INA. If MD first, favourite is INA. So INA stands a good chance
I just have an idea that why don't we create another cup beside Sudirman cup. In this way, the audience will chose a "diamond team" from all players from the the nations that take part in Sudirman cup to challenge the champion. And we will have more 1 day to watch the "diamond team" vs "champion team". By this way we can attract more audience to come to the stadium (to fill in the survey paper) and we can make the tournament time greater and some nations that cannot take part in Semi-final can stay until the end of the tournament. For example, if China won the Sudirman cup, we can choose a "diamond team" to challenge them as follow: (We cannot take people from the nation that won Sudirman cup) Tai Tzu Ying Momota Minions Fuku/Hiro or Lee So Hee/Seung Chan (For the case 1 nation 1 person/pair) Sapsiree/Dechapol And if Japan won Sudirman Cup, the team could be: Shi Yuqi/Chen Long Tai Tzu Ying Minions Lee So Hee/Seung Chan Sapsiree/Dechapol 1 more day to get fun after the final match ^-^ and 1 more fun for players/nations that cannot take part in the final match.
Are you talking something like an All stars? It's going to be exhibition like matches. Unless they get paid handsomely, I don't think the players will take it seriously.
One more cup for the Champion by winning "diamond team". 5 little cups for "diamond team" if they won. At least someone bring home a cup when they back to their country.
The backlash won't be as huge as when minions lost though. Hendra/Ahsan are very well respected. Even when they lose, fans will blame PBSI instead for a wrong strategy.
Respected or not, it doesn't matter. When you lose, you lose. They would say it would have been better that the team fielded minions instead. They will blame (the player) whomever made the more mistakes.
That's my point, they will blame the team. I don't know if you are well aware about the trend regarding Indonesian badminton fans on social media lately. I don't live there anymore but fluently speak Bahasa and still follow their badminton scene. I almost never seen any ill words toward Hendra/Ahsan even when they lost. Your case maybe true with other players. Minions are the most beloved yet they will be judged the hardest when they lost. Kevin's antics on the court is not helping ofc. But Minions is the case of "Yes they are jerks, but they are OUR jerks!" no way fans can tolerate when they lost.
I have seen some comments on how they blame either Hendra or Ahsan for being too error prone, too old or how Hendra should have retired etc when they lost last year. Though after they calmed down, they would have blamed the team. So regardless the respect, they still try to find something to blame. If it's other players, they will say it's their 'weak mental'. I found that Indonesia fans will always find faults in the players first before they blamed something else that makes more sense logically. Minions lost in final once or twice and they lost their trust in minions completely? If they compare the times minions deliver with the times minions disappoint, they should have known which one is higher (by much)
That's very sad situation. Blaming someone/something has become INA people's habit. They will blame, bully, or curse someone/something regardless of the situations. Worse, they will claim that they are criticizing instead.
Most of the fans on social media right now were only following badminton since the asian games anyway, so what do we expect. I can't believe some people actually want fajar/rian to play today against lee/wang instead of minions smh
Sad. What rotten luck, it had to happen just when they crawled back to 19-18 in the decider with momentum. Sigh.
