I was too tired to watch the last MD final till the end. But from the commentaries by various sources it would appear that this marathon match was equally as exciting and certainly matched the XD in terms of duration: MD Lars PAASKE / Jonas RASMUSSEN [DEN] defeated Mathias BOE/Carsten MOGENSEN [DEN][4] 21-23, 21-19, 26-24 in 1:30 XD Nan ZHANG/Yunlei ZHAO [CHN] defeated Nova WIDIANTO/Liliyana NATSIR [INA][2] 21-18, 23-25, 21-18 in 1:30 Unlike when it first started, the new 21-point rally scoring system was thought to be too short and fast and did not provide great excitement as before. Not now anymore when well-matched events can easily go past the hour even with hard smashing to try to end rallies. Defensive abilities have also improved. The fear that players may become too tired and prone to injury and that supporters without their own transport may have to forego some matches in order to catch the last bus or the last train home in time, will resurface again. One thing seems to be sure and that is quality, in terms of players' performance and abilities, has generally moved up a notch in order for players to last longer on court. We may yet see another change in the scoring system if things continue at such a hectic yet 'marathon' pace.
well uncle loh i think this is because the badminton is moved to another level more intense and the gap is even more closer now is better to watch
lol, you are funny. we are talking about the longest ss match thus far.. WHat does it got to do with LCW, CELEBRATING and all?
