They wernt faves for last big W either.... Expect them to lose in the first 3 rounds... If they dont, a good draw that has them avoid Chan's, Shvedova, Garcia-Mladenovic and Ves-Maka can see them win... Ves-Maka are the faves at this point
Correction :-- We darent expect anything from the paid judges and AIBA.... AIBA and its paid judges should be treated like Russian athletes... If Olympics were held at India, we would have won 13 medals, 6 of them Golds, based on similar performances but equally horrible judging.
only FIH events (Oly, WC, CT, HWL, CC) count towards rankings.... It doesnt matter whether we finish 1st or last in Valencia as far as rankings are concerned.
@nilesh123 only 26 NOCs have anaged to qualify more athletes than us(99) so far. 7 more Indians will be confirmed on July 11th. To finish 26-27 we will need to win 3 Golds or 2 Golds and 6 silvers. Impossible. Countries with a quarter of our athletes (Iran North Korea, will finish in the top 20)
@nilesh123 Lea has an extremely easy draw in MD.... Can sleep walk to the finals, if he doesn't self destructs.... Pakistan ki bahu, Sania has an extremely tough draw.... She can easily be ROUTED in every round bar the 2nd.... Deshdrohi ka chamcha should win 2 rounds before running into Lea.....
Speaking of acche din, we have a swacch Bharat cess and a Krishi Kalyan Cess... Why can't we add a Olympic Gold Cess? ?? We will end up top 4 in the rankings in the very next games if we do
When I said VesMaka were WD faves (before the draw was out), I didn't notice the unseeded name of Williams/Williams in the draw. Thanks God Santina avoided the sisters in R1... In XD Sania has a achievable path towards the final, but will need to bring atleast her C game (and B game at times)... Lea has a tough, tough draw.... Top half is bereft of quality opposition for Sania (bar Aisam).... Lea will face names like Vesnina, Bruno, NESTOR and Zimo in the bottom half.
Idk why but Ivan Dodig just isn't convincing enough for me, I mean no doubt he is a good player but somehow it's really difficult to imagine him at the top of the podium! If Sania fails tp win the title I would say it's high time to change! After all she can afford almost everyone, why not pair with Zimo for a change or get again with Bruno (she apparently said he is cute ) Lea n Martina can take all of them singlehandedly no doubt although I don't think they'll with the championships! Also Sania should've played with Rohan in this tourney, it would've been a fab Pre OG warmup

29/32 Olympic teams are better than Lee/D'drohi... Lee/D'drohi will struggle to break any of them or hold Lea's serves against those teams, much less winning a set... Some of these might even serve up fries (or might I suggest bagels) And the other 2 can beat them too.
