Will they??.. ..if they are, then they've got just over a week left to prepare and really buckle up..or maybe some of the players will participate despite the unresolved turmoil??..we shall see..
Now the groups are known, let prognosticate: Gp A - INA (easy) Gp B - TPE (relatively easily) Gp C - THA (driven by home crowd, edges out IND) Gp D - KOR (even without LYD, is deeper. Sayonara JPN ) Gp X - KOR, THA (Kor easy, THA has point to proof. I think INA will get stage fright) Gp Y - Tough group... HKG (3 great singles and 1 winnable doubles), JPN (deeper, more experienced team than IND)
Confused I don;t understand if boonsaak choose to protest he can;'t play any way so he won;t be able to compete in the thomac Cup I guess it depends on the other players to as he is chosen to be the rep in the team.
Confused Boonsaak is suffering from an injury and he would not be able to compete in the thomas cup why would he risk a chance in resigning from the national squad.I guess he is representing the other players as a leader.
soooo..whats the conclusion ?? will those top players join the team for prelims or not ?? esp. the girl, salakjit cs..becoz THA is in the same group as INA >>> hahahhahaha just to make sure whether INA position is safe ?? if THA top women join the team, it will be 50:50 hiks hiks
INA team has favourable drawing in Thomas Cup but tough drawing for Uber Cup. Surely KOR Uber team will manage top-position of group X, the battle for runner-up position will be happened between the host and INA, it's 50/50 chance.
2nd Stage Asia Qualifying TC 1st Group A v 2nd Group C 1st Group B v 2nd Group D 2nd Group A v 1st Group C 2nd Group B v 1st Group D UC 1st Group X v 2nd Group Y 2nd Group X v 1st Group Y
TC INA vs IND TPE vs JAP SIN vs THA HKG vs KOR UC KOR vs HKG ( i hope INA vs HKG , but... ) JAP vs INA
Correct! Without the top THA players, INA will destroy THA... Now that they are back... well... 50-50... Although, I did hear the top players have not been practicing for the last 2 weeks [due to the fight with Thai Badminton Association]...
Will they really participate & have a shot??.. ..are the THA's top players really back??..if so, anyone has the news to confirm that they are indeed participating?.. ..for Group C, i take it, that's if THA's top players actually are playing??..or even if they are not playing?
because only 2 groups in 1st stage,,, if atleast 11 countries participate in 1st stage maybe the countries will divide into 4 groups..

February 18, 2010 Ami Afriatni Dengue Fever Lands Blow to Indonesia's Thomas Cup Hopes The optimism around Indonesia's Thomas Cup squad took a hit with the news it must qualify for the men’s team championship without one of its best shuttlers. Indonesia left for Asian zone qualifying in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, without top men’s doubles player Hendra Setiawan. He was hospitalized on Wednesday after being diagnosed with dengue fever and missing the team’s sending-off ceremony. “It is so sad to know he was hospitalized because he is one of our favorites to bring victories to the team. It’s OK because we still have other players who are ready to replace him,” team manager I Gusti Made Oka told the Jakarta Globe on Thursday. Hendra, who is still at Pondok Indah Hospital, was set to leave with the Thomas and Uber Cup teams on Thursday morning. The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) still hopes Hendra can take part in the seven-day tournament, going so far as to purchase a ticket for him to fly to Thailand on Sunday. --------------------- Read completely through theJakartaGlobe.com -- http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/badm...ds-blow-to-indonesias-thomas-cup-hopes/359508
