Coaching CHN baddy team, is like coaching NBA all star team. No matter which player you put on the roster, there are always complains from the fans who are rooted for the "not on" stars. Since there's no way a decision can make everyone in the world happy, someone has to make the final call somehow.

The problem of having too many good players to choose from is a good problem to have for team China, while other countries including Badminton giants Ina and Mal still have shortage of good players for their 2nd and 3rd drafts for their teams.

Yeah, very true. Not every player can play, and not every fan can be happy. I wouldn't like to be in his position :p.

Exactly, can you imagine how much guts LYB must have in order to send LD to any tourney??? Every time LD wins a tournament, LYB probably receives 100+ e-mail complaining to him about "why LD always win??? It's getting boring.. blah, blah, blah":p:p

China's badminton coach delighted with new schedule
    (Xinhua)
    Updated: 2006-11-28 13:56

Chinese badminton team's head coach Li Yongbo looked delighted as he knew on Monday the competition at the Doha Asian Games had been rescheduled.

Chinese badminton team head coach Li Yongbo walks out of Doha International Airport,Qator November 26,2006.Chinese badminton team and gymnastics team have arrived in Doha for the 15th Asian Games starting from December 1.[Xinhua]

The Chinese team arrived at Doha International Airport at 7 a.m. Monday. Several hours later, Li was told by the umpire that the team semifinals and finals would not be played in the same day, but in two days.

"I'm very happy to know that. It's good news," said Li, who had blasted at the former schedule as a "big joke".

The previous schedule had put the team semifinals and finals on Dec. 5. Li had said bluntly that it was "the most unreasonable schedule" he had ever seen.

"Badminton competition demands physical strength," said the head coach. "For Chinese players, two matches a day is too hard to stand, let alone playing the singles and doubles events the next day."

To Li's delight, the team semifinals will take place on Dec. 4 and finals on Dec. 5. He believed his 16-member contingent would fine-tune in two days.

China is the biggest winner at the 2004 Athens Olympics and 2005 Madrid World Championships as the dream team collected three and four golds respectively.

The traditional powerhouse, however, took only two out of seven golds at the Busan Asian Games in 2002. Four years around, Chinese shuttlers will vie for at least three titles, said Li

At least LYB has confident for at least 3.

On the INA side, how many gold PBSI can vouch for??
Taufik promise 'I'll try my best'.
    Mathematically, it can be ZERO.

Remember that AG is like the Olympic and WC, china can't field ALL their best players like in an Open. Taufik only has to worry about 2 chinese players. Ranking wise, TH don't have to deal with 3 other HIGHER (better) ranking chinese players.

    1 50906 LIN Dan CHN 40530 4363 9 1 10 44893
    2 50152 LEE Chong Wei MAS 34440 4023 9 1 10 38463
    3 6926 GADE Peter DEN 31800 3829 9 1 10 35629
    4 9689 CHEN Hong CHN 34530 0 10 0 10 34530
    5 51592 CHEN Jin CHN 31530 2929 9 1 10 34459
    6 51274 BAO Chunlai CHN 29820 3425 9 1 10 33245
    7 11704 LEE Hyun II KOR 28320 3389 9 1 10 31709
    8 4762 JONASSEN Kenneth DEN 27060 3108 9 1 10 30168
    9 50931 CHEN Yu CHN 28590 0 10 0 10 28590
    10 12370 HASHIM Muhd Hafiz B MAS 23610 3034 9 1 10 26644
    11 11959 PONSANA Boonsak THA 24360 2180 9 1 10 26540
    12 10337 HIDAYAT Taufik INA 18690 3203 6 1 7 21893

It's like going into a gang fight but the rule disallow 60% of the opponent's weapon or members to participate  I do say this is TH best opportunity to make his mark where the chinese MS players is and can't be at full participation. OG is 2 years away, next AG is 4 years away, TH need to save his strength to work on his land :p

lol, Lee YB promised 3 golds while indra promised 4 golds, so that made up 7 golds in total. Too sad for Malaysia and Korea, there is no gold left for them ;)
