Well, that is only to be expected. Anything less would be disappointing for Malaysia.

In MS, Lee CW is way above the others. To be honest, at his current form, he is a world top 5 player. So, winning a 2-star tournament should be a stroll. His easy victory over Wong CH is a bit surprising though.

In MD, CCM-KKK was expected to demolish the competition as well. But the young Indon pair gave them a run for the money.

Malaysia has to be delighted with KKK-WPT's win. I don't think they are there yet, but at least they have proven themselves to be the best of the rest.

As for WD, I am not too disappointed Chin-Wong. The Taiwanese pair are very good and playing at home. They easily defeated their opponents this week.

As for WS, it must be disappointing for Taiwan not to take the title, which was won against all odds by an unknown Japanese.

:( :crying: :( :crying: :( yeah,,,but i guess its pretty good tho, 3 of them managed to reach final, and not to mention that indo didnt send their top players, yeah indo does need taufik, but its not all taufik, we still have many good double pairs (candra/sigit,luluk/alven,flandy/eng,nova/lilyana, to name a few) and hopefully they can do better :D ,anyway nice job malaysia, winning 3 titles is quite an achievement. but i dont think its a surprise that malaysia dominating, since their players seem to be above the others compared to players from other countries in this tourney

    aiyuuw, don't worry!
Indonesians will likely rule in their own Open 2 weeks later.
In the past, Indonesians are almost invincible in Jakarta, which was why the top Chinese and Danes especially, chose to skip the Indonesian Open.
But things have started to change last year. Hopefully, there are more foreign participants this year.

Why am I keep hearing Indo needs Taufik? Is that all they really have? That's kinda miserable isn't it. And I don't mean to disappoint the Indo further but I really have some doubts that Taufik can even beat Lee Chong Wei. I think his golden years had lapsed. Just like Gade.

Thats nice to hear that Msia have just won a MX Double's title! Not too concern about the Mens Doubles and Singles. More important is the MXD.
Too bad the chinese players are not in this tourney due to political reasons. Oh well Politics got in a way for sportmanship spirit this time. :(

Not to sound like an excuse, but Taufik lost in the Semis of the China Open recently against BCL(China) because he had a really bad foot injury. I believe his shoe caused that(there was an article in this forum referring to that event). I believe if his foot was fine, he would've been in the Final playing against Lin Dan. He withdrew from the recent Singapore Open because his injury still lingers.
It's gonna be interesting if he plays in the Indonesian Open. If his foot healed up completely, he could go all the way to the Final and hopefully meet Lin Dan(which he never played against with). Correct me if I'm wrong, but Taufik has won 4 straight Indonesian Open and this year he'll be looking for his 5th.

Again, I don't know where you got the idea that "you have some doubts that Taufik can even beat Lee Chong Wei. His golden years had lapsed. Just like Gade". Taufik is only 23 yrs. old in comparison to Gade who will be 28 yrs. old during the Indonesian Open. So yah, Taufik still has 2-3 more quality yrs. left.
LCW on the other hand has never won any "major" tourney yet, has he??..
