    Hi Everyone,

Was wondering is anyone could compare the d700 & cp5k against the d600 & each other, in terms of power, defence, manoeuvrability, feel etc?

I currently have a d600, but am looking to get something slightly shorter, preferably improving on defence whilst not losing out on much power.

From what I can gather these two might fit the bill, but if anyone could give a direct comparison, and particularly which of the d700 & cp5k would be better, would be much appreciated. Any other suggestions also most welcome.

    Cheers everyone!

i tried out my new Woven 7 on monday night, so weird to play with.

has good control and my defence seems better due to the weight of the head as i can do a slow shot but the weight gives it power so easily gets it to the back of the court, i didnt manage to do a decent smash with it as i couldnt get the timing right, but i did a smash with my feet on the ground and not moving sideways (completely bad technique i know) but that smash was as hard as my porper smash with this racket, cant wait to get my timing sorted.

I bought one on a whim recently since it was ridiculously cheap (<$30).
Its design is plain. It is short (665mm). The handle is short. It comes with a silly grip. Yet I really, really like it!:)

Great for doubles because it is light and manouevrable. Yet the power is quite impressive. It must have something to do with the stiffness, because I've not been able to clear and drive so well with rackets this light before. (same strings, same weak arm, so it gotta be the racket).

Not all old, cheap things are bad. (that goes for me as well as the 8080+ ;))

    Another silly question from me:
Is CP 1000 an oval racket? It looks oval to me, but pictures could be deceiving some times.
Someone has it or have tryed that racket?
    Thank you!

the CP's series are all semi-oval, semi-iso rackets.
It actually plays and feels very good, they're nice rackets. But the sweetspot is slightly smaller.

So I did buy the 8080+.
    My first racquet ;)
The first thing I noticed was the light weight and the short length.
Also the grip was indeed weird. It was basically an overgrip (tennis terminology? not sure if it's called the same thing in badminton) with a strip of foam in the middle, as a result there was a large gap of loose grip between each spiral. The grip practically slipped off the handle after about an hour and a half of play.
Adjusting to the racquet took a while, by being both shorter and lighter than a "normal" racquet, I ended up framing alot of my smashes at first.
After a while things settled down though.
I only played one day with the racquet but so far it's shaping up well.
I was wondering if there was going to be a drop in power, but on drives and clears so far it's be good. Smashes on the other hand seemed to take a hit (maybe it'll get better after I play some more). The racquet fits me and my defensive game, but the biggest plus for me was the touch and control I got from the racquet.
I got many a crazy perfect drop shot that day, and the shuttle seemed to go wherever I willed it to (so long as it was in the front half of the court...).
I don't have much experience, both with the racquet and with badminton, but if you guys want, I can make some more observations about the racquet after some additional "quality" playtime.

Oh. And the racquet has a kinda weird shine

I am considering to buy another racket, have read a good review on both Woven 7 and AMP95. In your opinion after using both of them quite some time which one you prefer in terms of performance (attacking, defence, control and feel)?
Dink Alot what is your opinion about these 2 rackets, Thanks:D

ToxBad, I need your opinion on Woven 7 compare with AMP 95. You said that AMP 95 has the same power as W7 but has better feel. After using them for a while which one perform better in defence, attacking, control, and feel?

Dink Alot, since you had experience on w7, AMP 95 and VH 1800 which one is your go racket?

    Thanks.

I got a W8 recently from a fellow Badmintoncentral member (thx GT0ro! :D), and I love it to bits. I'm starting to fall in love with SOTX racquets, and am looking to get a Woven 13. Anyone try that one and how does it differ/compare with the W8? Thanks in advance for your help :)

i play with SOTX racket for more than a year now, i started with a D600 and switched with a W16, both racket are very good, but i tried an ARC Saber 10 few days ago and i find it much more easy than mine.

do you guys know if there is a racket similar to the AS10 in sotx product? i wanted to try the CP6000 dunno if it's easier than mine.
i don't really want to return back to yonex product because i often get mad on the court and throw my racket on the floor, i broke 3 yonex already but the sotx seem to resist well :p

    thank you for your help

    the problem is not the racket or the brand;
it is u... u need to control urself...

"a bad workman quarrel with his own tools!"...

sorry - don't mean to be rude, but... think about it...
