Road Trip to Calgary

Before this thread dies off, I would like to thank Richard for being such an amazing host and making us feel like pampered guests. It was too bad he had shoulder problems and couldn't play with us.

Also my 6 compatriots who came along on the trip and made it so fun to hang out with, thank you! A special thanks goes out to KKBird who volunteered tackle the long drive. You'll be the first ones I call when I plan the next one. Of course an invitation is always open to kwun if he can find a way to join us. PeteLSD and Winex, you guys missed a great time; don't miss the next one!

Yes, I would have gone if not for family obligations :( Oh well, next time...

Yeah, I was wondering why Richard wasn't playing...did nbonkowsky not played with you guys?

KKLam had a lot of fun and I guess you did overworked your sprained ankle and not showed up for the fun night but instead brought in a "ringer" :D

I wasn't very smart managing my ankle. Shouldn't have played on Sat night. And all the driving didn't help either.

KKLam proved to be a most voracious eater. He polished his 15 oz steak like a hungry dog and then nearly ate Red Lobster dry of shrimp. I'll bet there are no more "Endless Shrimp" promotions when he is in town next, haha. :D

No, nbonkowsky didn't play with us. He was with another group that night. But like I said he was nice enough to come over to chat. I think he might end up coaching at Sunridge if time permits.

I want to mention I had a very nice chat with BC member nbonkowsky while at Sunridge. He's a very nice chap who's also a very talented player.

Finally, cooler (yes, cooler) returned my call this morning at 1:00am while I was watching the Japan Open final. We chatted for about 20 mins; it was a pity we didn't connect in Calgary. Maybe next time.

Thank you for the compliment madbad, it was great to chat with you and sorry that we didn't get a chance to play. Lots of people were asking for games and playing time while there. Next time for sure we will have some doubles matches.

Oh man, feels so bad missing out all the action . . . :crying:

The trip was full of fun. Thanks Madbad. For sure we'll go back to see our friend Richard again. Don't miss the next one, guys.
