Professional players and their racquets

The MP99 has an even balance (vs. MP100's head heavy weighing), and so is much more maneuverable. That is the main difference I am aware of.

Im just wondering, why do many pros choose MP99 over the MP100?
From what i know, the only difference is that the MP100 has titanium mesh and a colour difference.

I have seen players uses different racquets in early rounds than the final rounds before ( I forgot the names....Chinese players),

Xia is known for using Cab20, but he did use AT700 at times in earlier round.

Taufik Hidayat - AT700
Kenneth Jonassen - AT700
Simon Santoso - MP99
Peter Rasmussen - Carlton (anyone know which model?)
CHEN Yu - MP99
LEE Chong Wei - MP88

FU Haifeng - Ti10
CAI Yun - AT800DE
Candra Wijaya - AT700
Tri Kusharyanto - AT700
KIM Dong Moon - Ti10
LEE Dong Soo - Ti10/CAB21
YOO Yong Sung - CAB20
Lars Paaske - MP77
Jonas Rasmussen - MP99
Jens Eriksen - MP100

It seems like there are still some players are still preferring Ti-10 :)
Mainly Asians........I wonder if it's because it's easier to get Ti-10 in Asia, so players don't have give up the lovely Ti-10s? ;)

If he hasn't changed since the Copenhagen Masters, Peter Rasmussen is playing with a Yonex Cab-21 with Carlton logo on the strings.

"herovc: anyone know what weight (2U/3U/4U) their racquets are?"

I also want to know that, especially the mp99 users, like Lin Dan and Jonas Rasmussen.

I, also, want to know how high they string their racquets, how high they grip it and how many scratches it has on it.

The CP version of the MP-99 only comes in 2U - so Lin is using a 2U racket. I'm not sure about Jonas. Generally pros tend to use heavier rackets, but all the Forza rackets Jonas used to play with before were 3U versions. Aditionally there is a general trend to use lighter rackets in nowadays: MP-88, AT-series only come in 3U or 4U (but very headheavy so comparable with balanced 2U rackets).

I don't think you will know those very details unless you are actually having one in hand or you are the one who string their racquets ;)

Here are some links to the various manufacturers and their sponsored players

Yonex: http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/player/index.html

It appears that Jonas Rasmussen is using a MP90 as illustrated on Yonex Japan's website, along with contradicting posts saying that he is using MP99. Anyone wanna clarify? And does anyone know if he is using a 3u/2u?
Well, in Japan, it's called MP90. Same thing as MP99

No, Jonas is using the MP99, not MP90 which is a Japanese domestic model. You can refer to Jonas site and you will find Jonas saying the yellow power racquet racquet he is using is an MP99.

Players and their rackets on Yonex International

I have visited the web site of Yonex International showing pictures of players, their rackets model and shoes models:

http://www.yonex.co.jp/intl/badminton/player/index.html

I put up a summary of as follows:

Flandi Limpele

ARMORTEC-800DE Candra Wijaya, Sigit Budiarto, Yang Wei, Eng Hian

ARMORTEC-700 Huang Sui, Zhou Mi, Gong Ruina, Lee Hyun Il,

Taufik Hidayat

Muscle Power-100 Camilla Martin, Zhang Jun

Muscle Power-99 Gao Ling, Xie Xingfang, Chen Hong, Lin Dan,
Jonas Rasmussen. Zhang Ning, Yao Jie

Muscle Power-88 P.G.Christensen, Mette Schjoldager, Mia Audina

Ti-10 Kim Dong Moon

I was surprised to learn that some top players are not using the latest rackets (those colored orange).

Of course beside Yonex, some players are using other brands of rackets.
