For 24LBS or less, the Cross and Main should be the same.

    Thanks.

It depends on weather u want to string it 2 piece 4 knots or 1 single strings.
It should be 22main 24 cross for 2 piece. If one piece 24lbs for all is totally fine. NS8000 can strung up to 31lbs. So 24lbs should not be a problem if u ask me.

Hey I have the same question.... What do you tell your stringer? Do you say "24lb", "22 main and 24 cross" or.... what should you say?:)

You should tell them 22 main and 24 cross, and also show them which is which; i.e. showing them on the racket... Better safe than sorry. And as for 24LBS, you should tell them both Cross and Main to be 24LBS.

    Thanks.

The mains go up to down, while the crosses go ACROSS the racket, ie left to right.

The Main is parallel to the shaft and the Cross is perpendicular (at right angles ) against the shaft.

    Thanks.

    NS8000 vs NS7000

I got a chance to try both NS7000 and NS8000 US version a couple nights ago, they were strung at 24 lbs with BG-65. I didn't pay attention on the weight and grip, perhaps it's 3U G4, not sure though.

Anyways, I played a single match using NS8000, and I couldn't smash hard, perhaps because I'm used to AT800OF rackets that I have. And then, when I switched to NS7000, it felt better, my smash was stronger and overall I have more power. Both NS7000 and NS8000 have decent control, and good for defense.

So, my first impression on NS8000 is not really good, at least not suitable for me. I doubt it if NS8000 is a good racket for doubles or attacking style.

    Just my 2 cents.

Played for 2 hours today (Friday) from 8pm to 10pm.

Used NS8000 strung at 27 Cross and 25 Main. Really overwhelmed with the power it delivered, and enjoyed the first 2 games until I broke the strings. For the rest of the night, I switched back to my NS7000. For control wise... NS7000 seems to be more superior to NS8000. But... when smashing... NS8000 is really great, just too bad the PACIFIC 0.66 broke too early...

    Thanks.

    Differences in opinion about NS8000

It seems that the opinions about the NS8000 are divided...
SteveStanley doesn't think it's great, while HKChua seemsto like the racket.
Are there people interested in posting their reviews in the review-section? I'm looking forward to them...

Well... I would say this is habitual. When one had been using certain rackets and got accustomised to it, his control and manipulation will be perfected to the features of the rackets. But, you have to bear in mind that such superior rackets are also designed by the same designers/architects of the same racket company that produces NS8000. If technically, the designers/architects of NS8000 had choosen to place it at the top of the chart, they MUST have some technical reasons or statistics to substantiate their decisions. So... one may have to put aside all his preferences and habits before testing such rackets. The best way will be the blindfold test, where all brands and color themes are removed from rackets, before they are being tested....

They have an excellent reason for their decisions. It's called
    money.

By placing the latest racket at the top of the chart, more gullible fools will buy it. It's as simple as that, whatever the equipment junkies might want to believe.

Are you not holding a YONEX racket? Isn't that racket once at a position on the chart?

Does it mean that all gullible fools will have to buy one of the rackets from the charts to learn to be smarter?

In the recent all England Open, most of the players are holding Nanospeed rackets, are all these players gullible fools? :D

    Thanks.
