I would like to get back to Badminton. If you are still interested, please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hi Nishant

Quite honestly, I have absolutely no idea where to play since I just moved to UK herself a few weeks ago. I will search for places to play around GW for us and let you know.

As for time, anytime after 6:30 pm or so on Weekdays and all day on weekends.

Should we plan to play tomorrow night? Say around 6 or 6:30pm?

    Hi,
Next Wed sounds good. I work in Canary Wharf, but don't mind the travel to central london if thats convenient for you.

Lets try to find places. I will update you later.
    Thanks,

    Taka

    Hi Takahiro

Sorry but I don't live or work in Central London. So Central London is no good for me as thats too to travel.
I live in Dartford and I play in the league that I gave you the information about.

Maybe we can organise a game sometime in the future

Did you try any of the clubs mentioned in the list? I tried the One at Greenwich (Mauritius Road), couldnt find anyone. Found another club at Elephant & Castle. The charges are 8£/ hr for the court. We have to get our own shuttles.

    Cheers

I play at and know the organisers for the Bacons Badminton Club which are held Tues-Weds-Thurs evenings. We play feathers and the cost is £5 for 2-3hrs.

The sport hall is near Canada Water on Jubilee Line, which might be ideal for people who live near greenwich. I live near Greenwich and it would be cool to play a game sometimes.

Sorry to revive an old thread - I was looking for a badminton club near Greenwich and came across this.

Can anyone give me any more details on the Bacon's College badminton club, please? Is it a 7.30 start on all three evenings, and is there any difference between the days (attendance/standard)? How many players are there, and what proportion men:women? What is the general standard? How many courts are there?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

    Bacons Badders club

    Hi Kit

Welcome to the post. Bacons badminton Club play on 3-4 courts. 7:30pm start to 10:30pm.Standard is novice to intermediates. They play in West Kent/Orpington League.
You'll probably find there are probably 75% men to 25% women.
Cost is £5 a night, playing with feathers.
I am fairly new playing there. I have been playing a couple of weeks there. They are a friendly bunch of people.
I hope that information helps you

    Pete
