Maybe that's why he just invited SWH and not LD to the podium with him... :p

your line of reasoning makes sense, and can even be regarded as semantically correct. however, consider the facts (events) of what has occurred within the model of 'time' (past, present & future):
    • we know what has happened in the past: hj, yy, xgb, etc.
    • we know what has happened in the present: ld, pg, th, lcw, etc.
    • we do not know what will happen in the future, but we do know what has not happened yet in the future: nobody in the future has surpassed ld's record.
    • we are left with what has occurred within the model of 'time' (past/present/future), which is ld's record. 'time' carries it into the future. it's the only thing that exists in the future, so far.
the only logical conclusion is: lin dan is the goat, until he is no longer the goat.

    does that make sense?
    do you disagree?

in order to get one, and if he doesn't win anything else significant from now until then, he will absolutely need to win world's in 2019 and have proximate success closer to 2020. he can't sit back for 3 more years and coast into it. ioc/bwf doesn't want to look like they're in the business of charity.

    Yeah!

    2+2 ?= Samkool !
President of US ? = Samkool!
Ruler of Earth ? = Samkool!

Samkool was in form today. His strokes were clever and deceptive. His explosive movement was a treat to eye. Uncle Loh's smash and defence were real let down today. Faulted couple of times at the net by umpire Nine Tailed Fox, his touch and special awareness seemed to have deserted him. Nevertheless, his coach, CIA-99 was barking astute tactical strategy continously from the sidelines but once Samkool started going all out, The crowd favourite- Loh was reduced to just a sitting duck today.

So ? Lin Dan should hang his head in shame that at age 33, so old already, yet he still couldn't even get a bronze at the Olympics, bloody useless old fogey !

So what that he has two Olympic golds to show for, we're only interested in his failures and put them on a magnifying glass for all the world to see. Other people can fall short of expectations but not Lin Dan, it's outright unforgivable. Losing to LCW by 2 points in the 3rd set , 20-22, is an epic fail !

Mr, how old are you , by the way ?

I can't help but wonder what Peter Gade, Taufik Hidayat, and Lee Hyun Il should feel about it, Lin Dan's fiasco at the Rio Olympics. Do they still want to associate with him and risk being tainted by him ?

Success is not in Loh's vocabulary, only failures, defeats, and downfalls for others, Lin Dan in particular.

that is true, but everyone in the usa knows it's a $ thing, not a history thing. when nixon went to china it was for long term plan to open trade doors. regardless of how it was spun in the worldwide news it had nothing to do with china's history and territories.

it was inched forward during every u.s. presidential term (ford, reagan, bush #1) until clinton... during his campaign for president he kept promising(!) to not give china mfn (most favored nation) trade status due to their human rights record. do i need to tell anyone what happened once he was elected?

my point is china has personal issues with taiwan, and obviously they care about it more than the rest of the world. the rest the world (the u.n.) might comment about it, have meetings about it, issue press releases about it, etc., but they only really care about china's money. one nation? two nations? who cares, just keep the trade doors open and money flowing.

or maybe shoes are hard to come by in india. but seriously for a professional playing in the competitive circuit, loose shoe laces are a joke.

There is a huge difference between Necessity and Luxury. It is enough to satisfy the necessity than dumping your money on luxury. He is born to a farmer. Hope you know who farmer is? . They don't need to wear shoes , if at all necessity arises.
Maybe in your country, children are born with shoes ! .

Lin Dan was asked about amateur badminton players and he said :

"First of all, amateurs should find a good coach. If you have reached the top of the amateur level and hope to further improve yourself, only hard training is not enough. A good coach is necessary."

There are badminton players who did better than LD in the Olympics. That is achievement but little is spoken about them.

Oh my foot !. So, unless you wear shoes, according to you, they will be walking with bare foot !. Either you are ignorant or your teachings from your parents are not in a good way. I have watched your comments all over this forum. Other than the certain country , you are so ignorant on others or lack of knowledge on your part.

We never wear shoes normally on roads but we never go bare footed. Even i have 5 pairs of shoes but in indian culture, it is not necessary to wear shoes on roads but we wear high quality chappals which is very comfortable and enough.
Most of the asian countries are like that.

Then you should talk more about those other players , instead you only use it as an excuse or pretext to continually put Lin Dan down as if by doing that you make others look great. Really ? What do you take most of us for ? Ignoramuses, dullards, simpletons who can't see or think for ourselves over something so plain obvious and uncomplicated a five year old kid can understand ?

I'd like to respect and credit you with more intelligence than that but, first, you got to help yourself, pardon me for saying.
