He was using N9 first, I don't know if he switched for 9TD afterwards.. But still in terms of stiffness the switch to ZFII is huge...
No ZF2, I recently asked for a list of: Fu Hai Feng's racquets during his peak, say from 2009-2014. Fu Hai Feng's climb to his peak from 2004+ You can find the original thread @ http://badmintoncentral.com/forums/...and-their-racquets.2306/page-220#post-2549375
Okay guys, Don't shoot me for this totally noob question. I see quite a few (cheap) LiNing rackets being marketed (especially in India) with the series SS (supposedly super series). No mention of it on any of the LiNing sites (there seem to be one for each country). What's the history of the 'SS' series? Is it a discontinued product? Was it an official LiNing product at all? I own one of these SS-88. Bought it on a whim when I started playing. I quite liked it for the price range and still use it. But I'm buying a couple more rackets and see an SS-98 (again quite cheap) and it made me wonder. Can someone throw some light on this?
They make different models which are marketed only in certain countries or in their home country. Their website isn't that good to say the least... Check Chinese only websites such as taobao tmall etc to see if they are on sale for the Chinese market. Sent from my ZTE A2017G using Tapatalk
Li-Ning doesn't give a damn about marketing, let alone marketing outside of China. It's a pity really, because the rackets are nice.
Dont know if they dont give a damn, maybe they just arent very good at it...they do seem to care in Germany from what I've seen and heard so far
The whole numbering system (Nxx) LN uses is not too friendly to the average consumer. The only way to find out which one is best is to literally try all of them.
Well, to me it seems that it's lack of interest rather than inability... No real updated website for each language, accurate catalogues are hard to find and most of their professional players use the ancient rackets from 2009 or so. They have to start sponsoring more top players and do repainted rackets if they don't like the new stuff. Also, in most (online) shops I know LN stuff is heavily underrepresented if present at all.
I would really love it if they make something like the N90 original. LN also doesn't have an extra-stiff offering, which is quite sad. I've found their racquets to have excellent whacking power with few exceptions , but only if there was a little bit more stiffness to aid in placement.
Agree. The N90iii could deal with a tad more stiffness, for example, and they should really release another box-frame like the N90. That thing had a solid feel I've never encountered again! And I found it pretty much perfect in terms of stiffness as well, coincidentally. The N9ii and N7ii are nice rackets, btw, although I'm not certain whether they're heavy enough for me. N9ii could maybe make up for it as it has a nice balance of speed and a medium shaft helping on clears, N7ii might be too stiff for my liking. Never felt at home with stiff, light rackets, despite giving the Bs10 and Mx80 more than one chance back in the day...but I certainly see why ZN is using it, that thing is an absolute weapon in fast drive duels.
I personally find that the extra flex means I have to compensate by lowering the smash contact height to increase the hitting angle. With a stiff racquet, I can get maybe a few extra inches of contact height. The original N90 was probably the only racquet I picked up and felt 100% right to me right away. I've tried racquets that just never truly feel right no matter how much I play with them. LN did a great job with it, and it would be great to see them remake it. The original N90 is really hard to find, especially if one needs multiple racquets.
