Yes, the n9-2. So overall a much more solid racket than the n9? Warrantied tension 28x30? I hate temptations...!

Yes, much more solid, not as stiff as the N99, but nicely medium stiff. Balance point is different, too. I have no idea about the warrantied tension...

Which one is head heavier between the N99 and the N9-2? I am currently using the N90 and I am looking for something a bit lighter for doubles

They can really make a difference. Regarding the BP, you should measure it instead of trusting specs, those can be wrong or at least misleading.

Once again you're right. If I measured correctly with visor's method the head weight of the N9-II is ~ 0.3 g lighter than the head weight of the N80.

The stated specs suggest that they have the same bp. But the N99 felt head-heavier than the N9-II to me.

At what head weight did you measure your N9-II with the current setup? A more forgiving and slightly less (head) heavy N99 sounds like a killer combination.

But for me there is currently still a Gosen Inferno waiting to be strung and taken for a test ride. Luckily we will finish our move to the new house tomorrow so it shouldn't be long now until I will have all my badminton and stringing equipment back out of the boxes.

    37.32 g (unstrung)

Yeah, this might be my new favorite toy. Have fun with the Inferno. I hope it works out for you and can replace your JS10. :p

    That's surprisingly light. I would say it lands around 41 g with a set of LN1 which is only about 1 g more than a JS10 4U.

Keep us updated how it performs with LN1 and if it really had what's needed to replace your N80. Oh, and I've just seen that the N9-II is now also available in German online shops. Racket-Outlet even has it as test racket.

Haha, you haven't even strung your Inferno but now you're thinking about trying the N9-2, aren't you?! :D

So someone is going to sell his Inferno, right? :)
    I'd take it! :D

Having restrung my N9-II with No. 3 I'm 100 % sure that it's the most beautiful racket I've ever strung/held in my hand. @visor

    My god! (No. 3 @ 12.5 kg; ~1330 Hz)

Yeah, 160 € seems like a good price for a new LN racket. :D

Had a chance to play a bit with the N9-ii tonight, pretty impressive. Noticeably faster and lighter than my N80-ii, which also led to a couple problems around the net (not as stable as a heavier racket, more effort of my own required to push through the shuttle)
Very good on quick defense. A bit more flexible, which helped a bit with smashes.
Also seems like it has slightly more direct feeling - but that could be because of the string, it's not the same setup as on mine...
Will get more into details later, pretty sure I'm going to get one of these. Not entirely certain if I'm gonna use it full-time as well though, it's pretty light in comparison :D

It's alright. My girlfriend hates that as well. You get used to it.

Is that head wt with no overgrip? Sounds quite similar to Inferno if i recall.

Actually I had to choose one out of three interesting candidates. My courier guy only had room for one racket in his travel luggage back from Asia (so he said...). The other two were the N9-II and the TK7000SN.

So yeah, after your review, the N9-II is definitely still on the radar to give it a try before the next season. And since it is now available in Europe proves me right to go with the Inferno in the first place.
