Well...not surprised he lost today at the Australian open. He seems to be going through some kind of existential crisis methinks. Needs to come to terms with himself first before any progress on court I still believe he's up there with VA and the other top 5s. Wonder if he believes that himself
Not only that, I read an article before that stated LZJ never really analyse opponent's video. Around WC/JO I believe. Strange.
Oh wow that's interesting to know. So does he really go into each game with the same ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK gameplan?
Here’s the news https://www.nst.com.my/sports/badminton/2022/11/855629/can-shuttler-zii-jia-survive-without-coach
I think he needs a mental coach. He should come in to terms with what he needs rather than what he wants . Fall out with his coach just in few months after going independent, this guy with all his skills and brute strength is just going to injure himself physically fancying with unnecessary movement and over enthusiasm yet going down the line mentally just like momota . Boon heong says he isn't interested in coaching, but possibly in the future. Also he is a doubles players. Wouldn't really suit LZJ. Would rather him go to KLBC and train with SJV, CJW and GJW
I think it depends on which version of LZJ shows up. Capability wise, LZJ has the upperhand, mental stability goes to SYQ.
How about LCW? LZJ could learn the patience and soft skills (ie not forcing and smashing at every opportunity) from LCW. After all, both have the same goal of wanting to bring Olympic goal to Malaysia. Is LCW ready? willing?
