yes there is some truth on what was said about KL and i don't think it only happens in KL or Malaysia....come on.....think about it.....i will not say bad things about other places/countries coz it will offend people from that place right......and i'm one the people who is offended when other people said bad things about my beloved Malaysia....
This is terrific and the first time I know of it. Is this the standard all over KL or just some parts of it? If it's some section, please let me know where in the city area so I can look out for it.I'm pretty excited about this discovery. Also notice how some RTM news are accompanied by an inset showing someone using sign language to convey news for the deaf-impaired.That's proof of First World class:That the disabled should be enabled and have as much opportunity to move and learn and develop their potential as possible.
Huh? All these are even worse in some countries. I believe cheating taxi passengers happens in most of the cities around the world. If u r just unlucky to be cheated.
It is around Golden triangle area, goes quite a long way. I did take a photo in some section which to me is funny because it detour/u-turn around the trees. I found it amusing cause I am curious how the blind person can actually find out why it is detoured.
What's said about Kuala Lumpur is just the exact reality. Instead of denying it, do something constructive to improve citydwellers third world mentality. Only then will the first class infrastructure be justified with first class citizens.
Speed & Power's impression of KL could be of years or of decades ago Hi Speed & Power, We think we will only listen to you, as quoted above, after you have been to the WC@KL 2007, but not before it. Your impression of KL could be of years or of decades ago. Cheers... chris@ccc
Well, what can I say Chris? I'm living in a cesspool of humanity filled with despair and hopelessness. Seems like it's only the foreigners who come here in droves who appreciate the country more than its own people.
I could not agree more to what chris have said.. Malaysia once were like this things have changed for the better...It take time so do not expect a bed of roses. Be supportive and things can change..
you really don't know when to stop do you... I think what you are saying is steoreotyping... and when was the last time you've came to Malaysia? I am sure that view is at least 20 years old... please, if you want to bash Malaysia, go somewhere else as I am sure us BC members don't welcome you here. If you want to talk about WC2007, then you are welcomed. We all have different views of different places... why needlessly antagonise people? I am sure we could all go and find faults on Denver but we are better than that... get a life.
TO me, a feed back is always a feed back, even if we dont like what is being said. I DONT like what is being said but i guess there is always room for improvement. We are not in any way perfect but there is nothing wrong about tring to be just that. The japanese philosophy "kai zen" is a good idea to follow. So while i am sad that someone would call my country "3rd world mantality" And suggested that we dont deserve the first class infrastructure, I would thank him for his thoughts and see if we can make KL an even better city. So guys, be cool and lets enjoy badminton as it is.
Agree with u... Even human is not perfect, how a city (that made by human) can be perfect?? So,surely KL also has its own lacked as well as other place...
Where's The Buffet Line??.. ..yes, looking forward to finally have my feet step on M'sian soil...and of course, enjoying the things i've higlighted in bold above..hehe
that's the right attitude. getting emotional and denial is pretty much useless whether the accusation is true or not.
Getting emotional and denial is pretty much useless And now, let us see some pictures to be posted by our BC members who are in KL for the WC 2007. That's what the thread title reads.
i agree with dunker but with a little addition. i can accept criticism and i would never deny that what was said by speed & power have some truth in it. in fact i have been on the receiving end of those exact things myself. but what baffles me is the fact that he only zoom in on the bad and negative aspects of KL city. in everything there's pros and cons. why only highlight the bad? it is like speed & power have decided long ago that KL will never be a first class city in his/her eyes. there was a saying i heard before : if you have nothing good to say, it is better to not say anything at all. and you must forgive us malaysians who are offended by the remark by speed & power because anybody would feel the same way if their home is attacked like that. nonetheless, let us malaysians take heed and improve ourselves.
