Is it just me or does Kento Momota looks to have lost a lot of days compared to his heydays?

 

I think momota is playing better since we last saw him? I need to see him play someone like LZJ, SYQ, Christie etc first though

Momota still looking a bit shaky especially in game 2 today. It seemed to me like the mental issues still somewhat persisted. I believe he made it this far because he improved his fitness (maybe his chronic injury got better?). Also, not many top players played in this tournament. He had a relatively easy run. Despite some improvements, I really don't think he would be a match against the top players with his current form. I don't even think he can beat Koki tomorrow. The guy's in really good form. But we'll see. The world is rooting for Momota, including me.

 

Yes, Koki looks like in really good form.

Kodai Naraoka and Koki are young, have good speed, quick thinking, power and skills. Only thing.. are they hard working enough to build up stamina? Many times they run out of gas in the third match. Momota used to have very good stamina and can handle 3 long matches well.
