I use a yellow Forza soft grip, I just change it when it gets to dirty, or when it gets weared down.
I'd say I change it every 2 months

    Color makes a difference? LOL.....

    Hmm for me....

Sunday - 2 hours to play with friends, and right after that I have 1h 30min for training....

    Saturday - Sometimes 2 hours, sometimes 0.

I'm still using my yonex original grip for atleast 2 months. Still in best condition...

What's wrong with my hands..... :crying:

check out the picture i took of the yonex supergrap (orange, AC102EX) after i used it for 4 weeks or so! :D i also compared it with the A440 supergrap from Yonex taiwan in this thread... (which has the pic.. i can't upload it in this thread for watever reason) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23215

i took off the AC102EX already.. and changed it to a purple A440 supergrap. dunno how long this one will last

I use Head-brand (with the diagonal lines on the wrap itself) and Guide-brand overwraps. I think they're meant for tennis

I play 3 - 10 hrs a week only. Thats actual play, does not include rests.

My current set of wraps on my Cabs are going for 3 months now because work is getting in the way of my playing schedule :) The wraps have lost most of its tackiness but still no holes or signs of major wear and tear. Not like YY overwraps, which develop the holes after 3 badminton sessions.

sometimes it depends on which grip I feel like putting on, YY super grap only lasts 2 weeks or less, but YY Cybertec grip usually lasts me at LEAST 3 months before the tackiness wears out. But I don't usually put cybertec grip because it's $8 for one grip wrap.

So yonex DO have ribbed grips...

When you guys say wear out. Do you mean your grips actually tears apart before you change grip?

How do you guys know when to change grips? A change of color? The smell? Holes in grip? When it gets dull?

    That's also to think

Wore out as in getting skinned alive by the damn grip. Relatively new grips shouldn't allow much movement while you hold it tight as you swing the racquet. Slippage is the major reason for callouses:crying:.

Doubles players have to change their grips more frequently than singles players. As my game intensity gradually increases, my once a month grip change became bi-monthly:(. BTW, loved the Yonex AC105 EX... it's more durable than the old AC440 yet retains the same grippy-ness.

Holes in grip:eek:?! Man, either you're really broke or too cheap to change:p. Don't do it! Someone could get hurt at the other end or you could get splinters from the wood:D.

i noticed that the yonex AC102EX supergrap lasted me 4 weeks, while the taiwanese version of the A440 (supposed to be thicker than normal supergrap by a bit) lasts me 2.5 weeks because it loses tackiness. however the A440 costs me less, so i'll stick with those at the moment :D

    I sweat a lot!

So far the best for me is Karakal PU Super grip. Last up to 1~2 months. Plays 3 times a week, each season 3~4 hours.

Sorry, not a fan of the Yonex grips. Though they perform well, they wear out too fast for me, in a week or two.

I'm currently using the Prince MicroTac and it's got very good tackiness and excellent durability. Two weeks into the grip and it still as good as new.

One of the best indicators is my coach who teaches 8+ hours per day. He goes through a Yonex grip in 1-2 days and other grips in 4-5 days. So far he's played with the Prince MicroTac for 7 days and the grip is still in very good condition.

Well, I think Karakal Kushy grip is great or as a matter of fact, ANY replacement grip that they make is long-lasting.

I currently use Yonex Supergrap. It lasts me only 1 week but, I don't bother changing it. I don't see much of a difference when I change grips anyways.
