Lin Dan - Bonsak Ponsalna tied 15-4 9-15 Both players look too tired esp Lin Dan, many UE from Lin Dan in end of 2nd game.
WOW Is it 8th or 9th straight title for Kim and Ra this year? I think they have a realistic shot at surpassing their own 'noteworthy' run back in 99 when they won 11(was it?) consecutive tournaments. They've been one of the best pairs, if not the best, for many years, but they seem to be playing their best badminton at the right time. Hope they can celebrate their incredible careers with the Athens gold medals next year!
Closed match in 3rd game, Lin Dan lead 8-5. Lin has new power & spirit while Ponsalna has dangerous crossed smash and return.
Re: WOW This is the ninth. Korea, WC, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Dutch, Danish, German and now Hong Kong. I am hoping for the same thing.
Haha, both. Of cos it started with Boonsak, since he hit to fame at the Asia Cup two years ago. I support Sujitra (their used-to-be first WS) a lot too. Too bad she's prob not going to come back because of her knee injury and not very successful operation. She has a very nice style of play. I miss seeing her play. It's sad that she's always so close to creating upsets. Now they can only rely on Boonsak's lil sis Salakjit Polsana who has a disadvantage in her built. Their doubles are undoubtedly quite strong too, with Pramote Teerawiwatana at an incredible age of 36! Moreover, the Thais are very an impressively closely knit team (the other team being the Koreans), and the team manager is a really really friendly man.
Re: Re: WOW with the absence of their arch-rivals and closest competitors in the form of zhang and gao in the taiwan open i think their 10th gold medal is more or less already in their hands... perhaps the only chance zhang gao have to break that chain is during the china open where they have a homeground advantage... if kim ra win there again, i think they would probably be unstoppable till the olympics...
