if next time anythin like this happen! Ebay will have the power to make the seller to PAY UP! WHAKAHAHAHAHA
Is there any terms and conditions set in the bid?? Some sellers are willing to refund, but they needs buyer to bear the returning delivery. If he has already set this condition, it is hardly to complain with e-bay. IMO, losing the delivery charge is better than losing the racket. Just consider it.
In the email u posted, I did not see anywhere the seller admitted that's his fault for bad packaging. The only thing he metioned, is that the racket broken in shipping (could very possible be the carrier's fault). Overall, I think he's a responsible seller, as he's willing to give u a brand new racket for FREE (yeah, even u have to pay shipping).
Actually, I sent him another email asking him to pay for the return shipping. In his reply, he admitted his fault and gave me his US address for returning the racquet. I ended up paying like $6 to ship the broken racquet back to him via priority mail. I hope I'll get the new racquet from him. Any idea why he would want the broken racquet back?
woohoo.... just received the replacement MP99 from the seller. It is shipped to me via DHL this time (it was shipped by Thailand EMS last time). Much better packaging this time. Only minor complaint is that he shipped me the wrong grip size. (G5 as opposed to G4). But I'm satisfied. Serial # 4781188 200242TH Hope it's authentic.
caldude, Next time, check the seller's rating/reputation first before buying anything. I have bought 2 racquets before on eBay from sellers with good rating, never had any problem so far. Everything is based on trust doing business on eBay. In your case, you really cannot do anything if the seller denies the responsibilities. You end up making hundreds of phone calls and got tossed around like a ball. So, you are lucky that the seller admits this time and willing to resolve the problem. I think you are doing the right thing by shipping it back, never assume a seller is a bad person at the first place, just try to work out something first.
I think this particular seller's rating is not bad at all. After this case, I think it even further proved that he's very responsible.
He's reliable alright. If you really want a good deal, you could even email him directly. He can offer a deal for you outside of ebay.
this seller is good, once i won a yonex shirt, he said he doesn't have L size in stock, so i chose another more expansive yonex shirt. somehow i received two, one from thailand, one from U.S., 2 shirts, different color, i was happy ^_^, gave him a positive feedback for sure. i also bought my mp99 from a hk guy in canada, i was lucky no damage, just ordered armortec 700 from a thai guy in u.s., hope he is ok.
did the seller provide shipping insurance? if he did then garuntee u will get ur money back if u contact him
