I really don't understand with some comments here: - How could the coach/PBSI ignore Kevin's potential when Indonesia's MD's performance was actually on the decline. PBSI certainly needs a new combination to find a prospective MD in short term and also for regeneration purpose in long term. Kevin with all his skills, mentality and experience is certainly a valuable asset for PBSI. - Kevin marrying the daughter of a tycoon is true, but I think right now he still has a passion for playing badminton, he could have chosen to retire from badminton shortly after marriage, with the wealth of his wife and in-laws, it's not difficult for him to build a new business ( despite the fact that he already has multiple businesses by this time). Although I also don't know how long his passion to continue playing will last. Let's wait and wait together.
There's a rumour saying that herry ip gonna be the XD headcoach while aryono gonna replace him as the MD headcoach. maybe kevin will be back to his best again after this since we know he doesn't really like herry and he's pretty close with aryono
Does INA has good XD pairs? They do have a few but they are mostly tier 2 in the world ranking, very similar to MAS and JPN. I think KOR has moved up with the rest at the top with CHN
I don't think XD will change much tbh, at the end of the day talent matters. remember when herry ip first came back in 2011 and indonesian MD still couldn't do much up until hendra decided to join pelatnas again after london olympics. hopefully I'm wrong though

I am one of those that watched the streaming. It is probably the best path for both Kevin and Marcus I think Marcus could do well too. If paired with someone who can cover the court well, he can be the playmaker
The Korean master might as well be renamed Kevin Master as most of the people are more interested in Kevin than the tournament
I was quite amazed to see Kevin performance still sharp and fast even though he hadn't competed for months. And for Rahmad, I think he needs to strengthen his power, as a player who is projected as a back court player his smashes are less powerful and didn't produce many points in this match. Overall its a good start although still too early to judge whether they have prospects or not.
If you watch Indonesia stories and coach ricky YT channel the minions , daddies , babies all of them play each other EVERY day! Kevin didnt take a 4 month vacation thats how he stayed sharp. He is hungry!
Kevin isnt using the 88s PRO anymore I saw him playing with the arcsaber 11 Pro now … im sure he likes the hold alottt and can do some Crazy **** with his skill level with it.
There's a rumour that kevin will not be in national team next year. I can't blame him if decided to quit though, why would he still be in pelatnas if they're not gonna give him the best partner available
