Hopefully ENG can take XD or MD and show good fighting spirit. WD with Donna Kellog can be interesting. But still see no way DK is going to end up second...

This time there is no match for 3rd place. Anyway, I imagine POL vs RUS a chance 51:49: with WS and WD easy for RUS, MS and MD easy for POL and deciding MX, difficult but rather for POL:).
And you are absolutely right that these things do happen, speaking about the lack of one of best players. For example, last year in Herning Poland won bronze playing without Mateusiak.
One of the problems with Augustyn is that she has not chosen between doubles and singles. It means she was more practising for doubles (strong combination with Kostiuczyk - winner one time Denmark Open) but playing in OG in Beijing WS (looser in 1st round vs Jun Jae Youn, KOR, 15-21 5-21). I was even a bit surprised that she won 1st game vs Cann. But the level Augustyn and Cann is not very different so there was in fact a chance for POL to win WS as you expected.

I don't see where you all get the idea from it will be live on Setanta. The only thing shown on Setanta will be a 1 or 2 hour highlight on monday.

And you all = you + georgieboy being smart in the video sharing section :p

Thanks, at least I saw the first 7 or 8 points being played and Andrew Smith is leading against J Persson! ;)

But now the streaming seems to have stopped and there's a message asking to register. If I don't will I continue to enjoy, I wonder? :(

Well they won't continue for me. I have to close and restart to enjoy a little bit more. And now they are into their second game with Andrew leading 6-1. Andrew must have won the first game, which I missed. If so this must be good news for England.

I just saw Andrew winning the second game and match for England, 21-19!
Congrats Andrew and England.

Wow, I didn't know that England has won the XD already, which I expected they will win. And now Andrew has won another point to keep England very much alive!

I suppose very few,, except the real fanatics would expect Elizabeth Cann to beat WR1 Tine Rasmussen in the WS, therefore England would still lead by one point. Will Clark and Nathan be able to redeem themselves from their recent loss and overcome the very strong Danish pair of Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen to clinch the European title for England?

Possible but left to be seen!

that persson vs smith match was a little sketchy.
near the end of the match, someone in the crowd shouted: out and also there was one very very close line call....

i think tine will win this match
