You mean when PG beat LD right? Why would China want CL to have more "feel" of PG? What's the point? CL, who ranked No.4 in China, definitely will not meet PG in Thomas Cup.
Good decision for PBSI. Why send her that far away to India and she may not even qualify to the main draw. As for April, fair enough, give her the chance since she performed reasonably well in the Uber Cup Qualification tourney.
The field is definitely strong enough to attract good crowds, much better than the previous 1-2 years. And the ticket pricing is more "friendly" to local fans compared to WC last year. Only the finals day tickets are quite expensive. Even the scheduling is, ahem, friendly to the international evening flight schedules. Teams would take advantage to leave by late Sunday afternoon/evening after the finals. But to add to the suspense, the draw will only happen on the 6th. Almost a week before the tournament qualifying rounds start.
The "fuzzy" pair is still considered for the 2010 TC . Don't think so. The "fuzzy" pair is still considered for the 2010 TC. Let's wait for more news from BAM. .
The list of seeded players/pairs for Team INA: MS Taufik Hidayat [1] - he can only meet Lin Dan [2] in the Final. Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [12] - I expect him to fulfill his seeding and reach QF. Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [15] - hopefully, Andre can also fulfill his seeding. XD Devin Lahardi/Liliyana Natsir [5] - tough competition, with V. Diju/Jwala Gutta, Tao Jiaming/Zhang Yawen, the two THA pairs, Yeo Yeon Seong/Kim Min Jung and other upcoming pairs. It will be a great result if Devin/Lita can win the title. Meanwhile, Tontowi Ahmad/Greysia Polii just manage to enter the main draw. I will be looking forward to their performance. Only 1 INA player has to pass the qualifying round: Aprilia Yuswandari, which is kinda expected. But, I expect her to progress to the main draw if she's not drawn with the two players from CHN (Xia Jingyun and Li Xuerui). If she is, then bye bye.
So they are putting Teo Kok Siang together with Goh Wei Shem...so there are the three pairs, Mak/Tan, Goh/Teo and Ong/Hoon. I thought Teo Kok Siang was not shortlisted, for TC, that is.
