With thundering noise in the stadium, other country players will suffer a lot..

Gu Juan lost to Minatsu Mitani despite the Singaporean WS leads comfortably at deciding game, 18-21 / 21-13 / 23-25.

Gu Juan crumbles towards the end despite leading most of the way, 18-12 at one point, in the decider. Sigh.

the rubber is oozing towards the other side now.... but maybe it won't swamp Saina quickly enough....

I guess Schenk will not playing well in this tournament.
She quited the cooperation with the german badminton association and doesn't play in the national team any longer. She even quited the WC this year.
I think she is emotinally "down" and not fit in the head to make it to the "higher" rounds.

A quite unbelievable comeback literally from the dead, for Minatsu Mitani in the decider. She has laid down a marker to let everyone at the Istora know that the Jap girls are gonna give it everything.

Poor Gu Juan! She had every right to believe it was in the bag, and then..... :(

YYS is on a roll since he got back to playing. He and EHW lead the Japanese pair 14-9 in game 1.

Saina is in control (seemingly) at 14-9 in the decider.

Some sorts of drums are used by the crowd to make the noise.. The treaty signed between ENT specialists and organisation is going well so far..

And here comes Linda! But too late now.....

meanwhile, the crowd need to support Bella as well now, and that lovely girl seems to be holding her own for now, against your fave #4 (or was it 7?) SJH....

LXR looks in ominous form. The first match of the tournament, and she's already in cruise-control.

Defending WS champion scrapes through 21-13 in the decider, and will be looking for a padded, soundproofed room for the remainder of the evening.....
