Yeah i was anticipating for the match between Wong CH and Taufik! I support Wong CH but my instincts tell me that taufik should be the winner...

    Re: kim & ra

yes. the Olympics gold must be the only medals that Kim/Ra has wanted but was snatched away by Zhang/Gao last time around. they will at least hang on till they have gotten that medal and i think likely there will be nothing left for them to win.

Indeed Kwun. I think I have also heard (unconfirmed) rumours that Kim & Ra want to stop after the olympics. Zhang/Gao lost in this tournament but at the moment are still their main opponents.

Damn now I missed the final points. Who won, Chris & Lotte Bruil or the Chinese?

The long awaited match is there... Wong vs. Hidayat.. Taufik making a jumpstart 4/0 in a bit more than a minute! Hey now they swapped the score, and Wong leading 6/0! They messed up the score again... Shon & Susilo now also starting.

    that's true..
they deserve to win the gold medal...no other pairs in the world so far had been able to display such consistency in winning!

    Injured.

    Foot.

Not the same as previous injury, shouldn't be as bad as the others.
We'll know more when Raphael's report comes out on worldbadminton.net

Wei/Zhao just bt. Harder/Schjoldager 15-7,15-2. They will most likely be facingt Lee/Ra in next round.

Chen Yu won against Park Tae Sang. Finally, this guy bows down to one of the Chinese.

Lin Dan bt. Jang Yong Soo 15-10, 15-11.

So 2 Korean MS have fallen to Chinese now.

Gade a comback to the top?

Very sad that Rasmussen got injured..Else I think he would have knockouted Roslin
:(...But I just saw Gade on TV damn he looked fast, not like the previous times I saw him after his comeback. This time he looked so fast with high jumps not giving Lee Tseung any chances..is this his final comback??

It seems that Lee Choong Wei may be for real. He has certainly been playing well since the Malaysian open and he defeated the number 2 seed Kenneth Jonassen. I expect him to beat aging warrior Roslin who won against another aging warrior Peter Rasmussen by default. Lee might repeat his Malaysian open performance and face Chen Hong in other finals.

Lee seems mentally tough unlike Hashim Hafiz, who after winning the All-England, now seems like a one-tournament fluke.
