The original flight from Japan was scheduled on October 12, and given the scale of Typhoon No. 19, all departures from Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya were cancelled on the day. Reading @Hassefar60's post, the team must have made alternative arrangements to depart on the 13th; it will have been a stressful few days. Incidentally, over 70 people have been confirmed to have died in the typhoon, with the death toll still rising. The largest number of deaths have occurred in Fukushima, the prefecture in which Momota was schooled and trained between ages 12 and 18. I expect that Momota will be intent on winning this tournament as well as the French Open, just so that he can take back some good news.
Hey guys, wanted to ask if bwf live stream is blocked in my country, any ways to get past the block? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 using Tapatalk
I watched BoeMo vs HanZhou.. The court is simply too fast for the Danes to handle. In normal situations , they will have won but often they get flat footed and their serves are so terrible..First , 2nd or 3rd shot way above the net.
Maybe this is the reason why so many defensive players lost? Examples: Astrup/Rasmussen Sent from my Redmi Note 7 using Tapatalk
Maybe the drift in the hall also contributes? But the only reason that I don't understand why this is happening is bcuz that the venue is the Danish team's training hall. Aren't they(Astrup/Rasmussen) supposed to get used to this hall? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 using Tapatalk
All playing conditions contributes, I heard that the shuttles are fast too. I suppose maybe because most Danish players are not fast players, they are not used to spar or train with fast playing pairs. Or Astrup/Rasmussen was not in their fine form either, they haven't been performing well of the late.
You're right too. I think these playing conditions will favour the minions greatly. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 using Tapatalk
It will favour all indonesian MD in top 5, not just minions. it makes me wonder though why indonesia only have like 2 titles in denmark open in the last 10 years when the playing condition suit them so much, on the other hand, korean MD seems to be pretty dominant here especially LYD back then.
Several big upsets of all five categories hit opening day of Denmark Open, describing how tight competition in BWF top level tournament as many underdogs have scrutinized their opponent style of play precisely. The bottom half draw of first round match will be played on this morning local time. Headline maker Brice Leverdez did it again to stun one of title contenders Anthony Ginting in roller coaster match especially at deciding game, trailing behind 3-11 the agile Indonesian catching up successfully even hold match point before Leverdez doing his mojo to grab three crucial points and sealed the tie, 16-21 / 21-19 / 22-20. Top guns Kento Momota, Jonatan Christie march on last sixteen, the Asian Games Champion dropping first set 20-22 before stamped authority in next two games, 21-12 / 21-11. On the other side, Lin Dan scores another early exit, succumbed to Sai Praneeth here, the Chinese legend had played 22 tournaments in last 12 months (including DEN Open) with eight times first round defeat, Lin should reconsider his mission wisely for Tokyo 2020 campaign as his performance is very far from ideal. Top-seed and former champion Akane Yamaguchi looks still hampered by injury, couldn't bring back her excellent form, losing first round in four consecutive tournaments, this time to Cheung Ngan Yi, 19-21 / 18-21. Cheung will take on another heavyweight rival, the reinvigorated Carolina Marin who conquered Thai dangerous darkhorse Pornpawee Chochuwong. 7th seed He Bing Jiao who suceeded in KOR Open recently is back to square one to display uninspiring performance, lack of focus, accuracy and confidence against Sung Ji Hyun, 23-25 / 18-21. In doubles discipline, some notables pairs bite the dust, men's doubles home favourites Astrup/Rasmussen and current World Championships silver medalists Hoki/Kobayashi ended their brief journey in Odense. Meanwhile the most shocking one outcome in women's doubles noticing Olympic Champions Matsutomo/Takahashi down to Thailand Supajirakul/Taerattanachai, possibly the Japanese arrived lately to Odense following powerful typhoon Hagibis smashed Tokyo last weekend, their compatriot in mixed doubles also getting unexpected result, Watanabe/Higashino lost narrowly to French pair Gicquel/Delrue, 19-21 / 21-13 / 19-21. Haha.. lindan worse, wonder if he ever get fed up. I will if I am him. Time wasting travelling and got kicked out first round. Stay with family better. Doesnt look like a family man.
Dont know about others but I can watch him play all day regardless of the result...His presence on court is a blessing for fans of legends. I guess a little while ago he did mention in an interview that he plays for his fans...and his fans want to see him so we should appreciate his time and love for his fans and people like me who love him for who and what he is. Ciao amigo !
Korean MD did pretty well too in Istora overall. Maybe these conditions suit them better than the INA?
That's make it even weirder that korean MD did well in istora too since the playing condition there are super windy, and we know korean MD always relied on their defense a lot so that's surprising to me.
