Iirc, this is the fourth consecutive R1 loss for AY (one of them is actually a retired match). It struck to me how fate can change really fast.Another early exit for Akane, this time at the hands of Cheung Ngan Yi

I think Yuta should stop playing 2 disciplienes. Eventually, the boredoms and tiredness will catch up. Even though he is top 4 in XD, its better that he focuses in MD maybe he can be better as he is more of a front player than back player. XD is coming to a point where top 3 or 4 its not that satisfying anyway.
i dont know if he could have a glory retire match in the future. He could say good bye at final of wc 2017, all england 2018 or malaysia 2019 instead of continue doing the damage to his career. Let's pretend he did retire in one of those matchs. So its easier for me to say some farewell words. Good bye lin dan. Every racket you own, every shuttle you hit, they were worthy to be made. Every ass you tap (by racket) should feel honour. Thank you for the beauty you give for this sport. Thank you for the legend lcw you contributed. A lot of badminton fans will retire with you. You will be miss, badminton.LD please retire!

Now he can approach from Western HemisphereTokyo is getting further and further from LD
im not from china. Losing is 1 of reason but the bigger one is because he keeps showing no passionsome fans in china oso wish LD retire now instead of losing badly to players whom he will have beaten comfortably in his peak. well, LD need not have to win matches or titles now to prove his greatness. he said he want to continue till his son is old enough to watch him play (aka LCW). so let's just watch his matches and enjoy the good shots/rallies whenever he produced them.
Dear All
Thanks for the explanation on the Thai XD pair. You are well informed![]()
The Japanese team apparently arrived late (the day before the tournament started) because of the typhoon in Japan. Jetlag and some stressful last few days probably haven't helped them in their preparations. There were several upsets with Japanese losses today.Wow...the Thai WD beat the Olympic champions. Maybe Puttita was really p/o about losing her impromptu XD match...
I think she played better and better, she is recovering. I am happy to see Akane moving well after a long long timeAY lost, but did she played badly? from the scores, i'd think that she is recovering and working her way back to form. well, hope i'm right. anyway i don't foresee any problem in her qualifying for Tokyo. so slowly working herself back to match fitness and then top form is her priority and she has enough time to do that.
