Honestly i felt like I haven’t seen much of ZJP lately, maybe cos he never gets to the QF which is when I usually start watching, i think his standout performance as far as I really remember was the world championship last yr maybe?

Totally agree on Liang being the weaklink in stressful situations. I just think the coaches would somehow at least get wang chang in, like steen said during the AE, he almost won it by himself. OXY is there to be targeted by the opponents and LYC to protect him, that’s pretty much how it always has been.

i feel like China are definitely banking on WD and XD but if XD are to be played last, the pressure would be super high on SYQ and CYF.

There's a thing that I don't like from Tan Ning, after watching her match against BeakLee @Spain Open S300: her attitude after losing a point. Too much walking around, time wasting and negative gestures. Even sometimes LiuSS was ready, she still hasn't got into position. The opponents could see her frustration and keeps targeting her, and it will be worse. Be like Wang Chang! Or at least Chen/Jia.

Also, look like she can't endure in long rallies. As the rally goes on, she becomes impatient and starts doing the clear, giving away the initiative to the opponents. Fortunately Lee So Hee was error galore today, maybe due to tiredness after too many tournaments back to back to back, they can target on LSH to win points.

Overall, a decent performance and she's still young, time is on her side for improvement. This pair looks potential for CBA WD#3 :)

I doubt anyone can be like wang chang, its his personality, not something that can really be learned. Most players just need to learn to calm down when things get hard and not have frustrations and nervousness written all over their face. Just show the frustration for like a min after losing a point, like dang it, oh man..and then focus and restart

Agreed. I really want Tan Ning to control her emotion a bit. Sometimes she celebrates too much for a point, and loses focus easily after an error, causing a string of errors after that. At their first match point, she lost 3 points iirc. Luckily they had a healthy lead and were able to wrap up the match.

Btw, Chen Fang Hui is a beauty

Tan ning is slow in the front and mid court. She has to improve otherwise liu shen shu's talent is wasted in this partnership. Zhang chi is a very valuable since she is one of the fastest chinese woman player among the current players.

I haven't watched Zhang Chi yet. Could you please drop me a link? :D

Chen Fang Hui also looks promising in WD. She can adapt well when switching from XD to WD, like Huang Dongping.

Fast forward to 3 hours and 15 minutes to see Keng Shu Liang and Zhang Chi play . Zhang Chi is the right handed player in red.
Keng is a better player in my opinion. tall and powerful.

Thanks a lot! I will watch it.

There's a rumor that Du Yue will stop playing international tournaments :( Don't know if it's true but it's likely so. Yesterday's final, LiuSS and Tan Ning hugged her for quite long.

Chen Fanghui did well in women's doubles at the Madrid Spain Masters but has not shown any signs of being a good mixed doubles player.

Chen Xing was great at Ruichang China Masters but came down to earth since then.

This pair is not very promising at this point.

Wow another amazingly exciting Chinese MD, Chen Bo Yang and Lui Yi. They beat the 3rd seeds Bagus Maulana and Mohd. fikri In Straight Sets CBy and Li went through as qualifiers. I knew they were good as they beat Xie Haonan and Zeng wei han in the China masters.
It was a very exciting match. The CBA should be congratulated for forging very good doubles in all categories.
However in the Singles China is certainly lacking. The finals saw 2 exciting newcomers. They are very talented. Hope To See them in future.

MS are getting there too. Even WengHY and LiSF are still really young and can hold the ford for quite awhile. Isnt LiSF their top player now or is it still SYQ? I never know since there isnt much news about CBA.
