last year Momota didn't have points from All England, the point from winning All England this year can be switch to Indonesia Open.
Holy sh1t! KM got beaten by HYX in R2! I don't know what to say. But, I think this is his worst defeat. HYX's rank is way below him.
He already lost it because the last IO was held early July. That's what I expect. Unfortunately, AG fell victim of this.
You're thinking infamous Japanese training camp did it's job, their players are either injured or out of shape? In my opinion Momota moved well. But I don't understand why did he play like rubbish the first game. Also winning second game by 11 points does not make it easy to have focus in third game. Maybe he is trying some new tactics, to me he was trying to force high tempo too much as he surprisingly lacked consistency today.
Nah, looking at the way he lost I would not be worried. The match was in Momota's racket and he blew it.
Sort of, wth, no hawk-eye during Lin Dan's match but was available during A Ginting - K Wangcharoen's match. The controversial linecall(s) against Lin Dan proved costly or ,who knows, he might've won out CTC in two straight sets. Exasperating, marred an otherwise great match. But, even then it's heartening to see Lin Dan played the way he did, despite his less than ideal physical condition, he's still able to keep CTC guessing, more or less proving that in terms of technical skills, knowledge and experience, his reading of the game and anticipation, the granddaddy of badminton is second to none. However, in the last half of the decider,he seemed to slow down and showed some signs of fatigue. OTOH, the super fit CTC, a smart player coupled with a lethal smash, esp that round-the-head executed by leaping from the mid-court area to the corner is devastating. Just count the number of smash winners CTC scored quite a concern for Lin Dan who is slated to meet him again next week at the JPN Open R2.rit
Kantaphon is no longer just mostly a hard-hitter that he was when he first started, now he's more patient, constructing the rallies and attacking well when the opportunity arises.
I'd put my money on LD to make the first successful attempt Returning the shuttle by throwing the racket away, that is
Big upset, Momota lost to Huang Yuxiang of all persons. In G3 when KM forgfed ahead 18-15, I thought HYX is done for but all of a sudden the determined CHN opponent came from behind to pip the WR1 to the finishing line. Admittedly, Momota wasn't at his best, probably that minor ankle injury sustained during training affected his game today, and HYX is the lucky recipient of KM's nonoptimal form. Darren Liew wasn't that lucky, he failed to make the most of his chances yesterday.
