I'm not exactly from Ipoh.. but.. a mention of my real hometown, people will be 'hah?', never heard of it or worse, thought it was a joke.. I'm from Pusing actually. (for those who dunno, Pusing = turn around). So, to make it easier.. i just say ipoh mali but unfortunately, I'm no leng lui ahahaha
Saw a left-hand-drive Mustang (new model) in Penang's Gurney Drive last week when I was there driven by a masaleh (obviously a my-second-homer).
With the Iskandar Development Region (IDR) in Johor taking off with RM 4.1 Billion (US 1.5Billion approx.) investment by the Arabs, this place is going to be hot. Singaporeans will most likely flock to be my-second-homers by investing there --- just 1/2hr back to Singapore but the prices of home would be several times less than Singapore. I am eyeing a property there for investment. USAFAN & OneToughBirdie, worth a look in.
After i recognized all of uI thought u are in my age before this?) Ants...it does not matter left, right or middle handed...just look good is all it matters, thegoal is to catch young chicks...as the Malaysian moto goes "duit tiada tidak apa, gaya mesti ada"....hahaha!!! LOL!!
If I tell you all the stupid things me and my elder brother did growing up in good old MAS, you would shake you head and pray to god for us for forgiveness...hahaha!!!
Not that I know of. But again I don't keep in close touch with them as I am not in their badminton groups. In my own group, many have expressed an interest to watch the WC and was asking me for info on dates, accommodation, etc. But except for a couple, the others decided to stay home and watch, maybe the semis and finals? I don't know whether they were shown on Singapore Cable Vision. But hcyong and I have decided long ago to go and we stuck to our decision and it was good to have a reunion with old and new faces. The effort proved priceless!
Yes I think that would be very nice indeed. Please pay Singapore a visit if you should come by this part of the world. Incidentally, I think car prices in Singapore are even higher than in Malaysia!
Off topic-Yes.. ..i also had read about that during my stay in one of the KL's hotel (in one of their handbook/booklet abt M'sia)...I assume the government wants to promote M'sia as much as possible to outside investors. Also from what i've heard during my stay there, even the real estate market in M'sia is very reasonably priced, some too good to pass up...Perhaps as a way to lure people in purchasing properties there; considering also, the population in M'sia, as a whole, is not much compared to other developing/industrialized countries (i believe around 1.9 million people in the metro area)...
ahahah.. good one there. If that's the case, they'll never make it there..cuz' the already turned around.. where are you from? haven't been back to Pusing for sometime.. not so often esp after they've demolished our 30+ year old house The house with a living hall big enuf to play badminton (i always call it as big as a badminton court) ... it's like a bungalow (tho' it's a wooden house) on a hill surrounded with greens..... i miss that house...
One Scots man I know is already doing that.. just got himself an apartment in KL. He's retiring... and he likes MAS a lot that he's making it his 2nd home.. Already know the place so well cuz' he always travel to MAS from Scotland a few times a year for business purpose.
