What happened to Chong Wei Feng, going by the score (as I didn't get to watch it), Ginting wiped the floor with him, 21-6, 21-5 in just 24 mins !

Lin Dan is playing well and sees to having a whale of a time, fist-pumping upon winning a good rally.

Sai praneth too heavy and slow. If you are slower than an old man better retire. ;)

    Lin Dan vs Ginting tomorrow.
Ginting seems to be in his good form, LD too. Should be an exciting match.

Sai Bye-bye. Really can't blame him, when he couldn't guess what the 'old' maestro is playing, his speed advantage is reduced and his power has less chance to unleash.

I have been saying the same. If he is not even able to walk like an young man, then how can he play as a professional. He was outclassed today. He could not even move for some of the shots. He will give some good performances then and there and satisfy BAI to continue to believe him.

I am watching XD. Chinese XD are actually looks like MD. There is no difference between the boy and the girl. The girl looks very very thin and the boy cut combined together to resemble like a man. Just saying. She has to put some weight and strong in order to survive in this cruel badminton world.

Is LD exploiting the dives for mopping breaks? Never seen so many mopping need to be done before.

Wow! I have to vote LD vs Sai as the most boring match ever.

Saena Kawakami's movement and hitting motion are so similar to Okuhara's, though not as fast.

Provided the old man Lin Dan's stamina is still good enough. Besides, in my opinion, Ginting is now the fastest player in the world today, taking over the distinction from LCW who is a bit too old already. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Two-time Olympic Champion Lin Dan starts to gear up in this tournament to seek fifth Olympic ticket, displaying his artistic technical skill to dictate the pace and outwit Sai Praneeth who often guessing about his opponent shots, 21-12 / 21-12, the convincing scoreline. Anthony Ginting demolishes Chong Wei Feng, 21-6 / 21-5, a mouth watering quarterfinal clash between defending champion v top seed tomorrow. Another Indonesia hopeful also march on to last eight, Jonatan Christie who pushing tough effort to pass Wang Tzu Wei, 21-14 / 14-21 / 21-16 and will take on the qualifier Sun Feixiang. Other seeded players, Ng Ka Long facing Lee Zii Jia while Kanta Tsuneyama gets the comeback Indian Prannoy who knocks out Tommy Sugiarto comfortably, 21-14 / 21-12.

The surprising package Wang Zhiyi continues inspiring run, to eliminate Saena Kawakami in very hard battle, both players look exhausted in the end of match, the teenager Chinese has good determination to keep going long rallies patiently and she did it well to seal the tie, 21-16 / 14-21 / 21-19 in 70 minutes. Another tough rival awaits her in last eight, the in-form Aya Ohori who outclasses Fitriani, 21-11 / 21-6. Korean promising rookie An Se Young also secures quarters spot and will up against the vast experienced Zhang Beiwen. Top-half draw offers more interesting prospect to follow, Akane Yamaguchi will be challenged by Gregoria Mariska whilst Li Xuerui meets last year champion Sayaka Takahashi.

Men's doubles last eight round is pretty much going to the scenario with three ties will involving JPN vs MAS. All England Champion Ahsan/Setiawan will meet Taiawanese new hotshots Lee Y/Wang CL. Japan top-ranked pairs through to last eight, Fukushima/Hirota will face Du Y/Li YH once again after BAC last week. Matsutomo/Nagahara also have complicated task to progress, Korean Kim SY/Kong HY. Looking at mixed doubles quarterfinal draw, INA and MAS pairs are the frontrunner for title contention.

Ginting must not use full power like what he did against momota. Just move forward after smash and ready for ld net shots.

If ag wins, he is top 3. Very much improved player.

Shouldn't LD be the underdog here? :)

Based on the remaining draw I think Li Xuerui got a fair chance of winning the title ;)
