Newal is always popular in Birmingham. Birmingham has a very large Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistan population. It was as loud as a home venue for her last season.
Must be a bit quieter now. A game and 17-15 down...

Stuff isn't cheap at the AE.Please, I will attend AE 2017, saturday - semis, first and probably last time in my life.
So I want to make most of it. Do you have any tips for me so I dont miss anything. Lets say, well you bring your something because you might bump to someone and he can then sign you stuff. Or take lots of money because shuttles are cheap there or rackets. Or if you go to this place at this time you might catch someone...
thank you

Nah, players don't really wander around outside. They stick to the back of the venue. Training courts aren't open to public.Thank you, tell me please someone, are players wandering arround outside courts, like on hallways, can I catch Lin Dan wandering there searching of bottle of coke, are training courts open to public so you can see from very near our heroes?

You've got itAnd I guess, there is no way to catch them entering arena because there is some special parking space back so they dont go front doors, right?
Aaah damnit ... ooh well... I guess just sit in my chair and enjoy.... O yeah, my seat is not behind players but little at the side. Block 5. Soo, should I bring some binoculars? Will I look stupid with those and is there any need to check second court? You've got it
You're never that far away. Last time I was there I spoke with some of the court officials, including some lady who invigilates the umpires. You can still meet some interesting people.Aaah damnit ... ooh well... I guess just sit in my chair and enjoy.... O yeah, my seat is not behind players but little at the side. Block 5. Everything in Birmingham (England?) is expensive. Tin Tin was closed last year also, will they ever un-close? Anyway restaurant Wagamama is nice. Will be at AE Friday till Sunday, as alwaysUnfortunately the best Restaurant Tin Tin is closed - met a lot of players there (Tago, Korean Team etc.). Stuff is too expensive, spend it on beer in the local pubs

I saw many players in the streets and shops around the stadium over the four days I attended last year.
Of course, one does not want to bother every player you see. (Eg. Passing Nozomi Okuhara walkiing to the stadium for her final, deep in thought.)
But I was bold (rude) enough to ask a few other players for a couple photos with my boys. There is a fine line between being an adoring fan and being a bloody nuisance.![]()
Just enjoy being among these athleticly amazing, but otherwise ordinary, young people.![]()
