Crisis in confidence, perhaps. Or just plain pressure for LCW to bear, without support from teammates.

Anyway CY played quite intelligently at the net and attacked LCW's backhand defence.

Its a shame he wasted so many game points, but still a good performance..
CY is probably China's second best player at the moment (now that CH no more) and LCW used to loose to him even when he was at his peak.
Given the score line, definitely a better performance than MO and KO...

LCW & CY's head-to-head record now stands 3:3. LCW beat CY in the first three encounters that took place between 2002-2003, and then lost in all 3 recent encounters between Jun 2006-Mar 2007, i.e., LCW has never beaten CY under the new 21-score system.

I understand your frustration and disappointment, but should control your anger cos you might get heart attack, and not to take it out on LCW, after all PG got KO early too. CHN is too strong, who else can counter them, I ask you Mr Alfa2? An all CHN MSF is a possibility when this tourney starts. As I said repeatedly and I told Cooler so too, that is a sad day for badminton for they are no player from the rest of the world who can challenge Team CHN now. Just watch the threads of MSF in AE07, and see much excitement, passion and interest an all CHN SF would generaten and you see badminton would be difficult to popularize. Nothing beats nation against nation, it brings out the passion in earthlings in us, LOL!:) :)

Only Malaysian player who can beat CY consistently is Roslin and perhaps WCH. CY is the bane of fast attacking players.

Maybe CHN has got too strong in MS, and more vulnerable in WS.

I don't think LCW underestimated CY. After all, the last two times they met, LCW lost.

CY's like his coach - LYB was called 'rubber glue' during his playing days. CY just keeps his cool, sticks around and ....

LCW looked a bit nervous at the beginning of the match and too anxious to wrap up the game. Only saw flashes of the LCW that we knew just too well when he was at one of his peaks.

Noticed I used ' one of his peaks' ? LCW, we'll still be supporting you. Don't give up and you'll be up there again !

i think LCW is banging his head in the rest room now.. as overall performance n skill he is a class higher.. but he just WASTE it on the second game with a 20-16 game point lead.. he though that he will sure win the match.. but after some mistake n mistake he had lost his focus and panic.. HE REALLY NEED TO LEARN THIS A A LEASSON !!!!

CY is a good player, actually any of the 3 current CHN MS, including CH can challenge LD and give him fits. But it is LYB to decide and fix who to win and who to lose.

All CHN WD looks to go to 3rd set (as always). 11-21, 21-13 Du Jing/Yu Yang vs YW/ZJ.
