No matter what people say, they are still the best MD pair that Malaysia has at the moment.

    Congrats on securing the bronze.

finally, for many attempts from 2018 to 2021, they managed to enter to semifinal for the first time...
hope they can keep on their winning styles in semifinal round and enter to the final...
last Malaysia MD pair to enter the final round of the WC was Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boong Heong (2010 edition)

I have been following professional badminton since LCW lost to LD in the Beijing Olympics final in 2008. Watching LCW lose to LD in the 2011 WC final after holding match point and GVS/TWK losing the Gold Medal after making service errors on 2 Gold Medal points in the 2016 Rio Olympics were some of the toughest moments I have had to endure as a Malaysian badminton fan.

After that, it has been 6 years since we had another Malaysian to root for in a major final. I personally don't feel that Aaron / Soh were anywhere as good as KKK/TBH or GVS/TWK in their prime; the fact that they made it to the final was already a bonus and was helped by the relatively easy draw they had. As long as they don't go down tamely to the Daddies and give them a good fight I wouldn't be too beat up about it.

Well done for making it to the final. All the best in the final and have a good time!

Are they going to play in Japan Open?

Even more impressive is they flew to England for the commonwealth games beforehand

Apparently we are all wrong. They have not peaked. Wooi Yik is a completely different beast ...and Aaron is the perfect compliment. Much like a male Thinaah... hahaha. And to think ..all they needed was a change in fashion
Congratulations you crazy kids... sorry for underestimating you guys!!

Luckily they didn't listen to you asking for them to be split up, otherwise Malaysia may not have the Olympic bronze and still not have a world champion to date!

Jokes aside, congratulations to Aaron/Soh for the title. Broke multiple jinxes all in one tournament. Looks like the Commonwealth Games defeat to the English pair actually made them calmer and more focused in the WC.

I definitely read an article from NST saying they already flew home Monday. LOL.

watched the last match again. I don’t think they played very well. Soh gets over tense and nearly did so in the final. The slow hall seems to suit them better.

Even though they didn’t play great, they got their tactics right extending the rallies. They realised the daddies can’t hit smashes through them, not let HS control the forecourt and then smash at HS. Not a classic match in terms of quality. However, a win is a win.

A win is a Win. Same goes to what happen to LKY of Singapore last year. I hope they remain consistent and not deal with so much emotional issues. At least now they broke the 45 yr old waiting period and hope that this win will inspire more Malaysian Jrs and the current players.
