After watching their run in Tokyo and Sudirman Cup, I can confidently say they have the same ability as Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan Wah.

They can win when they are not expected to win, they will lose when they are expected to win.
If they keep showing this inconsistency, it is very hard to see them win any title.

In summary, they are a far cry from Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong. I believe Koo/Tan won the All England and some titles during their early 20s.

Aaron and Wooi Yik are moving to mid-20s now....

You are missing the important point. They could have good head 2 head with some pairs that are stronger but they keep bottling against pairs that they should not really lose to, they will not go far.

Until today I feel they ruined another golden opportunity to contest an Olympic Gold Medal in Men's Doubles.

They beat top pairs like Minions and Choi/Seo but in the end to lose in the semifinal against Li/Liu. The Chinese pair is one of the worst performing finalists I have ever since in all Olympic final editions, the other being Jia and Chen in women's doubles ( I am surprised they are not split or removed from the China national squad for losing that gold medal to Indonesian pair) .

Had they gone to the Olympic final, it would have been a better match than a one-sided thrashing by the Taiwanese.

To be honest, I don't see hope. U notice like today Soh made lots of silly mistakes pushing the shuttle to the net. Another day Aarons turn. Its like tiktok tiktok.

Wait for them to win one proper big tournament 1st before you can give them credit. A lot of work to do in consistency department. Yes, they looks like young kids but age catching up. Malaysia need more md juniors. Unfortunately kkk/tbh they have that megastar aura lcly stylo milo thing. lol. ;)

MD to beat now is taiwan, india, koreans and indonesians. Maybe japan, danish or english pair may go up. If Li/Liu china still playing, they will always be in top 5.

Summing up from the way they play in Sudirman and Thomas Cup, they clearly won the Olympic Bronze medal by luck and they do not have what it takes to win a top tier title. Maybe they will win a US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand Open GP titles for confidence boost but in grand stage they will not go far.

I would not be surprised if this pair does not make it to Paris or only one of them due to splitting. Their biggest achievement would be qualifying for the next Paris Olympics and win another medal by luck.

relying on Aaron/Soh alone is not enough, BAM need to produce more strong MD pairs, especially need more left handed players, must have power smash like TBH and FHF…

Don’t need to be just Japan.

No matter. There’s always a career in coaching afterwards.

Since their lost in the horrible ae final, i ady suggested them to split. Less agony if they have done so earlier. ;)

Either split or see a mental specialist or "couple" counselling.

even if they split.. the potential partners seem to be slim pickings...nobody good enough to step up.... horrors!!!! .. they are stuck with each other .. it's the only best choice...
