The club looks great, I was there yesterday. It's complete with lounge and a mini fitness room. I already joined! :D

hm.... first someone says won't be open on the 7th of July, now someone says open today! And on the same day as Lee's open house... Weird eh? But either way, I am going to check it out whenever I have time...

Is the mandarin club just another extension of Lee's badminton? I saw jennifer lee as well as May there. Very similar set up to that off lee's badminton club.

no, the mandarin baddy club is an independent badminton club backed by the mandarin golf club....

it IS open today... i should know, since i was there from 10:30-6....

and honestly, i can quite frankly say these are some of the finest (if not THE finest) courts i have every played on....

-the ceiling is FREAKING high... if you hit the ceiling, you are hitting it too high....
-the ground is TOP-NOTCH... if you liked lees, you'll love mandarin
-there are NO obstructions near or on court... no poles or anything nearby
-there is plenty of space for people to walk by
-the walls are very badminton friendly, you have to be blind to not see the bird

perhaps my only complaint is that on one side of a specific court, the lights can blind you slightly....

other than that... a SUPER atmosphere to play badminton...

oh yeah, there's also a lounge, which is pretty nice... lots of seating, lots of space and 2 TVs...

as for the work out area, kinda small, but they haven't gotten all their equipment yet i believe....

pro shop - not bad... average selection of rackets, nice selection of birds... an on site stringer (duh), food, snacks, drinks

all in all a first rate club.. if you can get there, i TOTALLY recommend it....

if you got any questions, feel free to ask me...

the only other downside is the lounge doesn't have A/C hooked up yet... =(

oh, and as for that court that sorta blinds you when you look up, apparently they know about that problem and are finding a way to solve it... probably a filter or something...

    Nanashi,

Could you let me know if the club is open for pay-as-you-play ?
I won't be joining long-term but would like to show up with few buddies during the weekends.

    Thanks

I think clubs usually don't have pay as you play. Usually it's like 10 bucks or something and play as long as you want or something like that...

    guest fee is $10

J_A_G: yeah, they said it wasn't hooked up yet, but to solve that, they cranked it up on the courts and opened the doors....

i think they have it hooked up now though.....
