it is organized in Usa, so judging from their other tournaments - would not expect it at all.... and that is really a shame

I wonder if the bidding process must now include some sort of live stream. It was done for last years WJC.

It is a shame that a badminton organization in United States does not even have the ability to stream the World Junior Championship.

Like, its 2023. They should have camera streaming somewhere.

SF and F should be available on BWF like usual.

Trying to clarify if it's SF and F of team events as well.

This really is disappointing. Having the WJC live streamed is for entertainment, but it's also useful for countries who are developing their badminton and seeing where they stand against the rest of the world.

Not only that. They put the event in a pretty remote area. Not many spectators I would assume. It is a shame. They did that for the National Junior Championship also. I am guessing they got favorable subsidy in these place but the problem is that aside from parents there won't be many spectators. The local population probably think badminton is played in the backyard.

It is 5 hours from Seattle. I have the tickets but something came up and will not be able to make it for the team's finals this Saturday.

The USA team are doing well. They came second in their group losing to the top of the group Thailand 3-2.

USA have also beaten Denmark in the 9-16 placing matches.

The podium matches are live. But what about the other courts? Are they live somewhere? Links please. Indonesia is just ahead Chinese Taipei in the first.
If anyone have links for the Malaysia vs China court do share

I saw a live IG earlier from one of the Malaysian players - I think it was Xin Yi's account

After their good results previously, I thought USA team would walkover the Hong Kong team. It ended up being 3-2 to USA which was a lot closer than I expected. HK have relatively young players playing this year - quite a few are in the U17 category.

USA subsequently lost their playoff for 9/10th position to Korea losing 3-0.

France is a newcomer though, placing 6th, before countries like Thailand, India, Hong Kong, Korea and Denmark. Quite remarkable. They have star Alex Lanier on the team, but there is evidently much more talent than him in their junior ranks.

Last year I made some statistics about WJC and the Asia v Europe situation. It was depressing from my European perspective. I thought I would do it again this year. It is still depressing:

In the singles categories there have been 49 matches between a European and an Asian player after round R16. The Asian players won 45 of those matches. Only three European players have been able to beat an Asian player. There are only two European players left in the quarterfinals, one of whom, incredibly, made it there without facing an Asian opponent.

Any live streaming links for the semifinals and finals?

The USA badminton YouTube channel is looking very anaemic and not very hopeful.
