Thomas Cup Group A - Both INA & KOR have secured their place in last eight. Once again the favourite INA team dropped opening match, Ginting performs true to his ability in one game only when his speed, killer drops and deadly cross court smash with steep angle yield points effectively. Then inaccuracy and inconsistency still playing bigger role to swallow second defeat here, lost to the diligent Vitidsarn. INA team has no better option rather than keeps fielding him as first singles, their MS3 is debutant and since Wardoyo assigned for SEA Games duty in Hanoi. KOR once again pocketing narrow win, 3-2 with same formula when they beat THA a day earlier, another test for Ginting whether he could contribute point against Heo KH tomorrow.

Big thank you to Thailand for introducing this pair to the world, very entertaining and hardworking duo. Hope to see more of them in the circuit.

INA cannot drop AG because they need JC to secure a point as 2nd MS. If AG is dropped, INA may lose 2-3.

Just watched kevin/bagas from yesterday's match, I kinda like this partnership. bagas is such a powerful player that I feel like kevin doesn't even need to take risky chances at the front. the first game should be more comfortable if kevin didn't play around when they had 6-7 point lead. I think bagas is actually better than rian.

Bagas needs to balance Kevin in defense,
several times we hear Herry IP instruct him to improve his return shoot.
Other than that, there's no doubt that he's a monster in the backline.

Bagas/Maulana, were they the pair that Kevin did that eyeballing during the INA vs INA MD matchup?
    or was it Carnando/Marthin

INA's Uber Cup Team takes a 1-0 lead in their match-up against GER after Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi (WR203) beat Yvonne Li (WR25) in straight-sets quite easily 21-15, 21-13 in just 39 minutes! She has also beaten Han Yue (WR24) in the Badminton Asia Championships 2022 2 weeks ago and pushed the World No 1 as well as reigning All-England and World Champion Akane Yamaguchi to 3-sets: 23-21, 9-21, 19-21. It will be an intriguing match to look forward to tomorrow morning.

This shows that we need to expose these players out and not letting them rot in Pelatnas! We are far too reliant on Jorji and Mei2 over the past few years!

The upcoming batch of players like Putri Kusuma Wardani (now already WR50 and need to climb up faster), Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi will be stepping them!

UBER CUP quarterfinalists have been concluded, no surprise and it's not hard to predict who will be group winner and runner-up at the end.
    Group A : JPN, INA
    Group B : CHN, TPE
    Group C : THA, DEN
    Group D : KOR, IND

Team INA completes a 3-0 victory over GER as both WD1 Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amalia Cahya Pratiwi and WS2 Aisyah Sativa Fatetani won their matches respectively.

So, as they await their QF opponent, let's see if they can steal any point against the mighty JPN tomorrow morning.

They may face either CHN, THA or KOR. Ideally, THA is the most manageable out of the 3 opponents.

Canada take a point from Korea and go down fighting 1-4. They also gave a good fight to India.
India vs Korea Uber match is going to be closer than I expected.
