For such a momentous occasion, Fu Haifeng will rise to it and overcome any signs of fatigue, his age notwithstanding.
Denmark puts in a young MD Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup Rasmussen against a very experienced Japanese MD 2 Keigo Sonoda / Takeshi Kamura. Hope it doesn't back fire.
MS 1 Viktor won MD 1 Mads / Mads won MS 2 Jan O Jorgensen lose Now MD 2 Japanese currently leading 11-9. Interval break.
Score very close now 11-10. I believe this young Danish MD is very fresh and energetic and have high chance to win. They have the height, speed and also better stamina to their advantage.
13-12 now to the Japanese MD. pretty close score now. Looks like the Japanese MD got the tired look on their face. Danish MD on the other hand so energetic.
I guess the Denmark strategy is a bit wrong somehow. They should have fielded in Mathias Boe and his young partner instead. I guess the Denmark side is banking on Hans Kristian Vittinghus to deliver a point later for MS 3.
I don't think so. Takeshi/Keigo have been doing well in recent tournaments. This Danish MD will have to work much harder to overcome them.
more of. out 'fit' the chinese.... whoever loses should be able to still held their head high.. both played their hearts out.. badminton at its finest
The questions now is who will win? Japan or Denmark? Assuming that Japan win this MD 2, then it goes down to the MS 3. I think MS 3 Hans Kristian Vittinghus will have the advantage cause Richii Takeshita is just a mediocre player and ranked much lower than him. I guess for the Denmark team it is a huge gamble to field in this young MD player.
This doesn't look good for China. Lin Dan should win against his opponent... but the 2nd doubles seems kinda lopsided to the Koreans...
