I believe Marc must be joking or exaggerating, otherwise BWF wouldn't approve the tournament playing conditions. That's why it's good and necessary for the foreign players to arrive early at the arena to get acclimatized quickly.
 
Hans K Vittinghus can now take a belated ice bucket challenge outside the arena if he hasn't taken one before. A friend told me that fans and air conditioners are selling like hot cakes through out Malaysia. When the semis and finals come around the stadium will be filled to the brim if Malysians are involved. The stadium will be like a cauldron to the players from the cold countries. Even LCW might pull a cramp or two.

The very hot and humid weather in Kuala Lumpur would require the airconditioning in the tournament hall be turned on full blast when packed, and that would likely caused excessive drift. If not, then expect the hall to be like a cauldron as you described, just as bad.
 
MS first upset, 7th seed Chou Tien Chen suffers early exit , lost to Jonatan Christie, 13-21 / 21-12 / 8-21, nice job Jojo! Next, the INA youngster will face either Ajay Jayaram or Hu Yun for tomorrow's second round.
 
We really don't know which Wang Yihan will show up, she's simply too unpredictable - one moment she romps home to victory, next moment she plays like an amateur.
 
Chou Tien Chen, like Hu Yun and Wei Nan, may be jaded, he goes in and out of form from match to match or tournament to tournament.

How I wish my life was like WZM. Would have the oppurtunity to travel the world, train with GOAT ,beautiful girlfriend and no worries about the results. I think he is well paid as well.
