Chong yee han was a joy to watch today. His movements were graceful and fast. Especially impressive is the confidence he had at the net in the face of Tago. Very few mistakes. But against Lin Dan tomorrow, yes i agree his physicality wiil be tested to the limit and Lin Dan has the edge.
The way he played today has created a buzz. You will probably see a larger crowd tomorrow in his LD game. And they wont be coming to watch LD

It might be an "exiting" tournament for many high profile players. Hehehe

Yup, two elite WD were sent packing early. The Danish combo, Pedersen/Juhl lost to two-time WJC Chen QC/Jia YF, the Chinese took revenge over last week defeat in New Delhi. Also top-seed and defending champion, Luo twin sisters as predicted have no idea how to overcome Matsuo/Naito, 13-21 / 14-21.

This shows that to select the Luo sisters as first WD for Uber cup is risky

IMO, China will field the Olympic Champion against Matsutomo/Takahashi. Luo twins seem vurnerable to face any Japanese pairs.

Sung JH, LXR, Sindhu and Porntip safely through the second round in two straight games.

Kento momota through in two straight games as well, although with difficulty in G2

Surprise victory from the English Rajiv Ouseph against Wang Zheming (who will become n°10 on thursday) in two straight games! WZ having lost in the first round of the India Open and AE.

WD top 1 and 4 seeds out in the first round.

    A few upsets already !

Chen Long has to watch out - as he is known for a late tournament starter and MZ had good results the last tournaments. I really like CL but a win from MZ would be awesome :D

KS should play normal without pressure. Have to show result. Otherwise, he won't be picked for Olympics. His ranking is 16 now. I suspect his place for RIO ticket. Prannoy and Kashyap is my choice. But Kashyap is out of competition for months now. What a situation for India !

Boonsak has won the first set. Although I think Srikanth will prevail but it will be bad for him. The sooner he goes back to qualifying the better for him.

What WZM is ousted in the 1st round of play by Rajiv Ouseph. I feel bad for the guy.
