Chen Long opt out of this tournament. Can LCW prevail?

Base on current form, it's highly likely that Porntip will win her match against SN. I hope I'm wrong though.

With yet another early exit, Saina's confidence and inner belief will take a big hit.

I think Thai Porntip & Ratchanok would be the one to trump their Chinese counterpart. I would think give them 2 more years, and they shall kick their Chinese counterpart off their perch.

Another 3-setter after yesterday's will almost certainly takes it toll on WSX as the tournament wears on.

Indeed, she has poor result along this year and her world ranking dropped significantly.

We need to take note of this as evidence for and against 'conspiracy theories'.

Saina has definitely lost some form and probably some players have worked out how make the game difficult for Saina.

I'm afraid I don't share your optimism. As it is, with WSX's magnificent comeback, she alone is enough to deal with anyone in the ROW, what with CHN constantly having other, younger up-and-coming players waiting in the wings, eg Sun Yu, Yao Xue, Suo Di, He Bingjiao.

Wang Yihan is again off to a tentative start, lost G1 to Sayaka T.

I hope I'm right though, because I'm feeling a little bit sick at Chinese players dominating and winning 80% of tournaments. I hope Thai players would be the one to stand up and give China a good fight for the titles. :D

Nowadays WYH plays like a 'grinder', keeping the rallies going, pushing and pushing all over the court.

How long more can Wang Shixian carry on like this? Tomorrow she is most probably up against the very physical and fit Soldier Schenk, it might be one match too many for her. As it is, I'm already so impressed with WSX's performance up till now, simply overwhelming this one, two months.

    Well you are right.

Porntip is in form lately, whereas SN is not.
