TH vs DPY 21-18; 21-15 --> A good night for TH, seems like he is quite motivated to beat CJ

Not bad, if Taufik can play with a bit more urgency and be a bit more consistent,he's still a force to be reckoned with.

Hoped so but can he afford it? Don't forget how he was stunned by a certain Derek Wong of Singapore, almost a non-entity then. Frankly, I'd like to see a resurgent Taufik near to his former prowess, that will make the OG more exciting and thrilling.

Don't expect Ithanon to steamroll Aunty YJ who is a phenomenon, at her age still giving the youngsters a run for their money. Right, G1 was a respectable 17-21 loss to a rising young star.

Yes,it's confirmed, on BWF Ranking, Li Xuerui has just overtaken Saina as WR#4.

Wonder if Saina wins this title here, will she regain her No.4 spot

Wang Yihan retired, does someone know why? What a pity. Even the No. 1 in WS is missing this Saturday... :(

Perhaps she is not fully fit? It's better to risk relinquishing the number one position than to go play in London with an injury. After all, it's just slightly more than 4 months left to the big event. Anyway, the MM-BYJ match should be an interesting prospect.

Oh yes, that too. The need to repossess that one Cup they lost after holding it for a long, long, long time.

Oh, and who lost it, was blamed for it? None other than Wang YH, it must be beginning to play on her mind now, poor lady. But,she has emerged stronger than ever. The problem is this time it's to be held on home soil and again she is world no.1, so expected to lead the charge. And in China, national glory counts for everything, individual fame much less so. The thought must be weighing heavily in her mind, imagine losing it twice, both by her, devastating. Even if she 's made of steel it will melt under the seemingly endless barrage of criticisms, like fire and brimstone. If she were world no.3 and slated for 3rd singles, that might ease the pressure much;otherwise, relegate her to sit at the benches together with the reserves, agonisingly,as happened in the last Sudirman Cup. I feel for her, she is one of my favourites.

That's what i couldnt understand why didnt they let Wang Shixian take the world number 1 instead of Wang Yihan because Wang Shixian knows how to cope with the pressure, the only thing that's defeating her is technical superiority of her opponents.

Wang Xin is a bad choice for the first seed. I have seen her screwed up a couples of time as a world number 1 but miraculously came back strongly to win titles and followed by a couple of defeats. I dont really trust Wang Xin lately but we have no choice, how can we dropped a player who has loads of fun kicking Tine Baun's as . 10 - 0 head to head hehehe.

Wang Yihan has fitness problems and sometimes can fall under pressure. When she starts playing careless shots and making unforced errors, yes she is really under that pressure. That';s why she pulled out of Swiss Open. CBA needs to re-organise the seedings. Oh well WSX is under **** loads of pressure too. She has to win this Swiss Open otherwise, her place in OG is in danger...losing it to her BEST FRIEND, Li Xuerui like literally her best friend.

So now the advent of the ice maiden LXR, who is cool under pressure.
She doesn't seem to feel anything. At least for the moment.

LXR, The Ice Maiden -- I'd like to think so, still not tried and tested yet but she does look cool, steady:witnessed how she often came back to win the 3rd game resoundingly. I'm sure Li YB will field her for this Uber Cup, just don't know which slot, then we will know what mettle she's made of, the acid test.

Saina lost the 1st set to Judith M, nerves, excitement?! Looks like with the field thrown wide open, everybody's spirits is lifted and wants to have a go at the title, esp the top half's chances are higher to progress to the final with possibly WSX the only stumbling block.

Even WSX is playing with wild abandon, walloping Fu MT,no pushover, with relative ease in G1, 21-9

Getting very late here, feeling sleepy, goodnight, folks.
